My job is not rewarding in dollars,
Yet priceless
I do not stand a chance of a promotion,
Yet I am always striving to do it better,
No one says thank you or that I did a great job,

It Won’t make me rich in money, but very rich in love
It wont buy me a house, yet it will build my home ,
It don’t have set hours , I am always on call ,
I am the boss,
yet literally start back at the bottom every day
I strive to be the best I can in my job,
Underpaid, overworked, unappreciated
Judged by outsiders

My life is my love,
My love is my son
My son is my job
My job is his mum
I have been there for every first,
First step, first scrape,
First tear, first words,
I am the one, who makes it better,
Not the one who hears about it,
I know what he did in the day,
As I was there,
I wouldn't have missed his life for money
For power
For offices
For extra coffee's
For that extra pair of shoes
Or even for a holiday,

The richness I have in my life
Is my love,

The rain may fall and the storms get so bad
But just remember in times when they’re sad
That the sun will shine again
And the rainbows will glow
Unconditional love,
Forever,
They will know.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I feel exactly the same, my kids are my career, and I am very proud of it. I refuse to let anyone else raise them, and am not willing to trade their first few years away for any amount of money. I am investing a lot of time and energy in my little ones, and the rewards come back ten fold....love it!!!:thumbsup:

nice.. and just think we get paid to spend time with ours bubs, do what we like, shop, laugh, cuddle! not much money but its good enough and its a joy! i mean look at those other women in poor contries who do not get government allowances, so no job, no food, no nothing, we really do have it good. :thumbsup:

Great poem. So true and beautiful! I love being a SAHM. The best and most rewarding job I ever had!!:)
