Any BF twin mums?

Hi Im BF my 10month old twins and was wondering if anyone else is at this stage. My problem is that occassionally they want to feed at the same time (no patience) and if they do get on together (football style)there is alot of eye poking and hair pulling! Does anyone have any tricks or different posi I can try!!

You could try contacting your local multiple birth association perhaps they could put you in touch with other BF mummy's!

I still feed my boys football hold style and they have been poking and pulling for a while now. I just put the offender down and keep feeding the other one until the offender has settled and wants to get on. I have found if they are doing this they aren't really ready for a feed yet and so I let them wander/play for a little longer until they come up to me and signal they are ready to feed properly. I went to a multiple birth group and 99% of the mothers there formula fed their children and were quite opposed to breastfeeding as it was a hassle. One lady said she bottle fed so her other kids could help her with the babies. Needless to say I do not attend that group anymore.

what is even lovlier is when they calm down and just hold hands and stare at eachother while having a good feed. That is a memory that will stay with me til the end!!

Now for a dumb **** question - how do you physically manage it? Are you lying down or sitting with cushions? Has your back/neck suffered at all?

Cushions, in the football position. so their head sticks out from under your arm and their bodies wrap around you and their feet are behind (hence the heads meeting at the front of you!) needless to say its impossible to do in public as you have to be semi naked. (up top that is). I should take more pics of this as its not going to happen for ever!!

I know what you mean, that is the hard part with twins, when you're out in public you can't just whack them both on. I use a tri-pillow on the lounge for my boys, although they are getting a bit big now and kick off the back of the lounge!!:laughing:
