Hey guys. I came up with this pizza recipe and it was that good that I have to share it with you all. My mouth is watering thinking about it. So put on your chef hats and off you go! :chef:

Base
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
Make a well, then add 1 cup warm water.
Add slowly and mix as you go (you may not need all the water). Mix and knead into a doughy consistency. Add large handfuls of desired herbs. I used fresh rosemary, oregano and basil. The more the better. Cover with a wet towel and put out in the sun to let it rise (or alternatively if no sun, put in oven on low temp). Do this for an hour until the dough is double in size. Punch the centre and knead again on a floured area. Roll out to desired shape and thickness.

Tomato Sauce
I tin tomatoes (preferbally diced)
2 tablespn tom paste
1 tablespn minced garlic
Mix it all up and put all over the pizza bases. You prolly won't use all the sauce, but it can be used for lots of other things like pasta etc.

You can use whatever toppings you fancy. I did pancetta, ham, tobasco and red capsicum on one and bocconcini, fresh basil and sun-dried tomatoes on the other.

Cook in the oven for roughly 15-20 mins at 180C or until the edges look cooked and crispy.

All done! Enjoy!!

My DH and I aslo make Pizza from scratch, it always tastes soooooo much better. :chef: . We have found the simpler the better not too many combo's of flavours with the toppings. It is easy to get carried away and add heaps but it ends up a bit of a vegie/meat pie if you do. We divide the dough up into 4 and make 4 different small ones then have left overs for another night or for lunches during the week.
We have tried multigrain flour (from a bread machine flour packet) and it is great for something different.

Thanks Polony,

Our going away party is Friday night, so now instead of buying or making a big dinner i can make home made pizzas. Sounds delicious:smiliedance:

multigrain flour sounds yummy? can you get it from normal supermarkets or do you have to get it from a health shop??

I just used a packet of flour that was supposed to be for our bread machine. in desperation one day. lol
I haven't looked to see if it is in the supermarkets with the normal flour. If not I suspect it would be in the health section.
