Is 5yo young to get a wobbly tooth? I thought it usually happened at about 6 or school age, he's not even 5.5 yet.

Thanks for that. I know there's nothing I can do but it makes me sad that my little boy is growing up and oh so fast!
I wonder if it has anything to do with him having teethed early - first 2 teeth at 16wks and 2yo molars at 18-20 months?
Or I'm just looking too much into it???

DS was five and a half, but DD was eight and a half - and devastated, she was the last one in her class to lose a tooth!!

I tis usually around the age of 6, but it works in relation to when they teethed, early or late. My DS was 6.5 when he lost his first tooth, and DS2 is now 6.5 and has no sign of losing any, but they both never got any teeth until 12 months. :)

lol..i cant remember..but i know dd#! was early for getting and losing teeth where is dd#2 is the opposite at the mo..my 11yr old still believes in the tooth fairy and santa.....naughty mummy forgot the tooth fairy once and had to make up a balony story how it must have been a busy night for her:D and she will probably do another trip the next night..and what would youe know......
My DD is 6 ½ and there are no signs of any wobbles yet. Her class photo this year showed some beautiful gappy smiles and her lovely full set of little teeth!
Of course, she is devastated that everyone else (including a few kids in Kinder) have lost teeth and she hasn't - she is almost a year younger than most of the kids in her class, but that doesn't seemt o console her at all.
I think I had lost a couple of teeth by the time I was 6yo if I remember right ...

I got a fright with when dd lost her tooth at age 5 from biting into an apple at a birthday party. I didn't even know it was wobbly because like you I was expecting it much later.Poor dd was mortified as I hadn't had a chance to prepare her for it.
