 Hello Ladies,
Just thought I would share my 'different' ultrasound experience.
We went for our 19 week scan in the city so we could get a 3D look at bubs.
Everything went well bubs looked healthy as far as they could tell which was a HUGE relief as our first buby bradley was in ICU for 2 months when born with conplications, he has also been in and out of hospital since. We got the All Clear with this bub & we were told that it was a little BOY! Which was a HUGE shock for me as I was convinced that I was having a girl! My cravings were girl & I am having a completly different pregnancy to my first.
I went away from the scan feeling a bit down because I really thought I was having a girl.
A few weeks went on & I kept forgeting that we were having a boy - I felt terrible. I was being told that it looked like I was carring a girl & my cravings continued... as well as my dreams! ...
I was starting to get really unsettled with the fact that we were told boy. Two weeks had passed and it was all I could think about - its not as though I could change the decision but I just had to have confimation before I bought anything.
I decided to call the ultrasound place where we had the scan. I rang and said that I was just not convinced and could I be rescaned?? Or is there another scan which I could get that would be just for the sex of the baby. The lovely doctor that I was put through to reasured me that he would look over the images and get some opinions from around the office.
A very anxious hours later the same doctor called me back and said that he aswell as 4-5 other professionals including the sonographer from our scan had looked over the images intensively & had all agreed that it was a little GIRL!!!
:smiliedance:
My goodness what a SHOCK!!
He then continued that he as well as the others including the sonographer from our scan admitted they didn't know what happened that day & that they were very sorry about the confusion. HAD I NOT CALLED WE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT BOYS CLOTHES & DELIVERED A GIRL! Its alright if your not finding out because you buy white or yellow BUT we were told BOY so we were going to buy BLUE & GREEN!!
My instincts were right! But now I am in shock it has been two days since finding out we are having a GIRL! I am scared that they may have mad another mistake.... Too scared to buy anything. Going to have another scan at 32 weeks to be sure!
Has anyone even herd of this or experienced it??
Very confusied but very excited becuase now we will have one of each!!
- HAVING ANOTHER SCAN FRIDAY 19TH OF OCTOBER TO BE SURE... WISH US LUCK! -
