Hi guys,

Well for those car racing fans, Indy 2007 is upon us, first day tomorrow! Should be great all round.

Had some dramas today regarding set up for corporate, new boss (well she used to be in charge of retail), so things arent as organised.

But hopefully my area will be! I am SUPERVISING this year...:smiliedance: so happy, as I work hard every year,, and this is my recognition, just a shame its taken so long!

So power on you Indy fans. If you're going have a blast......

Wish me luck for the week, as i'm back to work bright and early Monday morning after working over 44 hours in 4 days  .....so no rest for the wicked:devil6: !!!!

Have a great weekend guys and will catch up soon. Wont get much of a chance each night to be on here, but if I do, I will definately pop on and fill you in on the events! (Right now its 2.39am and I've been awake for over an hour - cant sleep).

OH and I stood next to a gorgeous LOTUS elise...oh how I wish I was rich enough to afford one. So pretty!!!!lol

You're gonna have a ball!
We were there a couple of years ago. My dad lives trackside, so it was a fun but messy weekend!!!
Hope you survive it!

This will be the 2nd year in a row that I haven't gone! I just can't have the same fun as what I used to.

So many good memories though! My Dad was the State Manager for Lexmark so we always got corporate tents on pit lane. :D

I would have loved to see Will Power win. I felt so sorry for him, things just never seem to go right for him here on the Gold Coast:thumbsdown: . That incident in pit lane, just goes to show how a lot of the win comes down to the rest of the team.

Better luck next year Team Australia:fingerscrossed: :)

Hey - hope you're enjoying yourself at Indy. I spent the day down there today in a corporate box. Had so much fun, and such a great atmosphere:thumbsup:

Celeb spotting is heaps of fun too:)

OOHHHH What tent were you in??? Where was it located, or called????

Well what a weekend....I was a supervisor for 3 suites situated by themselves, just in front of the V8 Pit area, just back from the Indy car pits! So great spot!

Celeb spotting was great, People that visited or were in some of my tents, Mark Burretta (?) from Sunrise, Grant Denya, also met the prop people who made the 'Apes'/'Gorillas' for 'George of the Jungle', props and sets for 'Inspector Gadget', the 'Survivor' series, so some BIG behind the scenes people...

A guy from Queensland Weekender, and some other TV presenters for those small shows....

It was a blast, and I had a great time!

Alot of the drivers also walked right past the suites! Garth Tander, Rick Kelly, Steven Richards, The female Indy car driver, and many more...My guys met Shane Warne who was there with his kids, the Indy car champ etc....

It was a great but tiring weekend! Hardest part was getting up for work this morning!

I am up for staying trackside one year to save money on fuel, and get some sleep.....I will hold my hand up for anyone who wants to let me stay next year:p

I was above the Indy car pits, right near start/finish line. Great location:thumbsup:

We've stayed down there before, just outside the track, it's great fun. I said to DH I don't want to do the daily commute from Brisbane next year, I want to stay down there - somewhere with a Kids Club:p

Subaruforestermum - Are you in a volunteer role? How did you get into that?

No I'm not a volunteer, I get paid to be there....I work for the major catering company that does Indy, Suncorp Stadium etc.... but my DP and his dad volunteer, and I can get you the info if you want to volunteer next year!!!

I've been working for the company since 2001, and got a supervisory role this year:smiliedance: .....

So who's suite was it...Team Australia, Conrad, Falken, Toll Racing, Coca Cola....cant think who else was up there.....

I was in the suites next to there, near the V8 Pits......But the ones you were in was where my base was....

If you went on the Champ car pit walks, my suites were the ones in that area, where the walk started from!!!!

I agree totally about finding a place down there to stay for next year......
