fluoride

Can any one tell me much about fluoride.
I know there are some very strong arguments for and against putting it in drinking water (mass medication etc) but what about supplements for kids. Do they need it? if so when to start?
I will see my Dr soon and have a chat but was wondering what peoples views were on this.

Good question. I am interested to know this too.

My mother was convinced that fluoride was poison and wouldn't even buy toothpaste with it in.

Now we all have huge dental bills and mouths full of fillings. I recently got all my fillings replaced with white ones and it cost an absolute fortune.
