Another eczema thread for me tonight!
Anyone have a suggestion to treat scalp eczema?
DD has had it all her life but it is now over a lot of her face and neck. Her hasn't grown well and is still that baby fine hair that doesn't cover her scalp.

I will be watching this thread. DD1 is 3.5 years old and still has a fair bit of the remains of cradle cap on her scalp and I would like to get rid of it

Is there any sought of shampoo out there? maybe you could ask a chemist?
There is a cradle cap product by Egozite at chemists
For eczema on the head I use the same creams as I do on the body, makes the hair goopy but hey..... what can u do?

An oil based product works well on the scalp because the liquid can "run down" into the scalp. The health food shop should have something like this.
I'm lucky. DS does have yellow crusty scales (cradle cap remnants?) on the top of his head but he has heaps of crazy hair which hides it and doesn't seem to bother him so doesn't bother me

I just use normal savings or home brand vegie oil seems to lift it and i got some great shampoo and condition from the chemist designed for excema (cant think of name will hunt it down as i buy it bulk and put it in pump packs go halfs with sister) it seems to keep at at bay for a few weeks
Hamiltons oil and wash did the trick for Charlee's head eczema  best of luck
