Like the title says would you buy seconds of a nappy if it said this about the seconds...
The manufacture of these nappies is top quality, but unfortunately the PUL we received was not up to our standard, which may pose leaking potential at some point.
normally $28
seconds $14.00
what would you do???

If it had holes/tears in the PUL, I wouldn't buy it, but just a laminating error (ie. laminated a too low a temperature can result in the laminate coming away fromt eh fabric if washed above 60 degrees), then yep I'd buy it!
yes, i would buy it and just put an extra booster in or make sure it was an 'awake time nappy' :D
Phineas - changed ya name back again?! i can't keep up, i just look for the "breastaurant open 24/7"

I did. I bought a new Itti Bitti that had a biro mark on it (under the wing so it wouldn't have been seen anyway). It washed straight out. :)
I'd buy a 2nd if it was a cosmetic flaw but problems with the PUL. No, that sounds like too much of a functional issue- I like the nappies to work well!!

I'd like to know how much their shipping was too. I haven't tried a Monkey Doodlez yet, so if the postage isn't too much I'd consider giving them a go.
Not that Isaac needs any more nappies...  Though, with two in cloth soon enough, it's a good enough excuse to do some shopping, right?!

okies so this is what i heard back from the md's web site...
With the seconds, the PUL was not up to standard and looks very worn after washing. I have some that I have been using since April and to date I haven’t had any problems with the PUL leaking, however, because it was not up to standard I cannot guarantee its performance.
For shipping costs, the most economical way to ship is via a “small packet”. The rates are based on weight and are divided into weight categories. The 3 diapers ordered would fall into the up to 500g category for $14.60 (usd).
so approx $50 usd
$56.aud
less than $20 a nappy
i'm happy to get my fav nappy at that price
