Hey again.
I do not currently have a credit card. Does anyone know of some sites where I could get some MCN's. I am willing to pay direct debit, or send money order..
Thankyou girls
Lisa
I would guess that nearly all sites within Australia would be happy for you to direct debit or send a money order - it should come up in the check-out options.
most prefer direct debit in fact, because PayPal and other credit card options means they have to pay fees on the transaction.
hth
Sustainable Hemp Products, and The Wee Wuns are two that spring to mind.

I am yet to come across an australian site that doesn't take dirct deposit!
Pretty much any Australian site will take Direct Debit, just email them and ask :) I much prefer to take it as a WAHM, no fees :D

Weel, that was going to be apart of my next question, as I just realised EBAY!!!!
I am looking at a few on there.
Do the sizes go the same way as for eg Huggies do?
What is too much to pay?
Are they suitable for taking Mikayla swimming or are there differant types for that?

Ditto. I have NEVER used a credit card for nappy things. And if they don't state if they take direct debit.... just ask! I find most are more than willing to do DD

Ok steer clear of Ebay!
Yes you can get swimming clothies, there are some great ones at a site called Nurture Nappies (and they take direct deposit)
Do you know much about fitteds, AIO's, and pocket nappies? What are you most interested in? Or maybe try one of each?

Same
(Oh and don't go to ebay!!!)
Nurture nappies or the Weewuns I found were great places to start. :)

Oh and many nappies are one size fits most! But you can get sized ones too.
My favourite OSFM nappy is an AIO - Nappylicious

Personally I'd avoid ebay. Look at other sites such as Buy For Baby, Monkies Undies, Ozebaby.... anything other than Ebay for nappies.
Some are OSFM (one size fits most), meaning they should fit from newborn to around TTing.
Others are sized according to weight.
Average price for a MCN is about $25, however there are some around $50 (these tend to be specifically for night and very heavy wetters).
There are different types for swimming. Darlings Downunder springs to mind for swimming nappies, although there are plenty of others that sell them also.

Why stay clear of Ebay??? :o
No I have no idea what I am looking for, all I know is that now with another bub on the way, it may be alot easier to save money on MCN's.. No sure what to look for though.

Ebay tend to sell very, very, very (emphasis on VERY!!) low quality nappies, with clever headings such as "Highly Absorbent", etc. At the very best they are terry towelling nappies shaped like a nappy. Plus, very low quality.
I'd suggest you have a look at the cloth thread stickies, as well as at http://www.ozclothnappies.org/

Yep what Grem said!
And yes you'll save heaps having two bubs in cloth! :smiliedance:
There is a lot of info out there and many different types of nappies. It's quite overwhelming and can be a bit confusing.
If I were you I'd order one of each kind of nappy - a AIO (all in one) , a pocket nappy, and a fitted nappy (needs a cover).
See what you like from there.
My choice would be -
An AIO from Nappylicious - don't need a cover, about $32,
a Green Kids pocket nappy - don't need a cover, but you need to buy a seperate insert with it - it's $24 for the nappy and $9.50 for the insert,
and a Baby Beehinds bamboo fitted (about $25, needs a cover, you can get one for $11.50 at the same site).
Those nappies are quite pricey but they are my faves. There are cheaper options if you want to start cheap

i would recommend bumgenius OSFA pocket! I have only tried 36 different types but so far the BG gets a  from me. They are a really nice fit.
Also the berry plush, they feel so nice and it doubles as a PUL for fitted nappies:)

Bumgenius, that's what I was trying to think of.
Popular, seem to work well and something around the $26 mark I think. I think that includes insert and everything? Can anyone confirm?

I paid $28 for mine and it came with an insert, but you could probably pick them up cheaper

I love using Paypal for secure, safe payment that doesn't have to be from a credit card- called 'funded paypal' I think.
Green Kids pockets are a great OSFA pocket to begin with by the way! My Anytimes are going strong after 12 months of constant, everyday use, and the Funtimes look great for outings etc.. great prints!
