Hi everyone.
First I will tell you a bit about my story.
on the 12 Dec last year I had my son when I was only 28 weeks. He was in hospital for 11 and a half weeks. It was the most upsetting time of my life to have to leave my baby every afternoon. Every nerve in my body told me that it was not natural to leave my new born baby.
after been at the royal womens NICU for seven weeks my son then went to special care for 4 and a half more weeks before I got to take him home.
in that time I came to realise that the hospital needs so much help financaly to run all the machines and pay the wonderful nurses that looked after my baby boy day and night. with out these things, my baby Isaac James would not be with me today.
so this year on the 12th December (a sunday) I am going to host a massive picnic in the park to raise much needed money for the NCIU at the Brisbane Royal Womens Hospital.
I will post all the details when it gets closer, but it will be held at a park in Gracville/Sherwood along the Brisbane river.
I would love to have as many people as possible on the day to donate money and also by tickets in various raffles that I will have there.
