Even though my bub is 7 weeks old, I have found sleep a hand full... but its getting better. My problem is he is an early riser 5am!! He goes down b/w 7-7.30pm, wakes for a dreamfeed b/w 10.30-11.30, wakes 4 hour after this for another feed and this is where my problem begins. If he wakes say at 3am for a feed I settle him by 4am he is awake after one sleep cycle- 45min..5AM!!! He is smiling and talking away.
I have tried to ignore him talking, let him cry for no more than 10 mins-hoping that he would re settle, check nappy, checked he isn't hot/cold.I have brought him into bed with us and he generally settles..but I don't want this to become a habit.
Am I gonna have an early riser for ever??? Any suggestions
I would dearly love for him to sleep til 6am!!

my bubby also rises at 4 to 5am! she tends to want to go to bed at 5.30 pm and has a nighttime feed around 10. She will stay on this cycle for ages then suddenly go to bed at 7pm and wake up at 6am! I've given up trying to get her to stick to a timeframe.

Is anyone else getting up early? My bub seems to get up with daddy at 6 after already being up a 4.

I don't have any suggestions sorry but I wanted to let you know you aren't alone. are you waking him for his dreamfeed? if you are maybe try and wait till he wakes, that might make him wake for only one feed and carry him over till 5 or 6? I've read about waking babies for feedings to cause more trouble than they are worth but it depends on the baby.

he is only little too! he will sort himself out as he gets older. Neve was sleeping through at 3 months and waking at 7, its only been the last 2 months that shes waking in the middle of the night and early am.
