CLICK HERE FOR VOTE-A-MATIC (http://www.news.com.au/feature/0,,5012863,00.html?CMP=KNC-google)

Found this after someone mentioned it on another site... and thought it might be kinda interesting.

It gives you questions to answer in different categories, and then you rate the importance of those categories (so, for me for example, being able to connect to broadband internet isn't really something I care about when thinking about who to vote for, so I rate is as low importance!)....

And then slowly, as you go through the categories, answering the questions, you build up a score with each party (which aren't name until the end), to give you an idea for which ones suits your wishes best.

...

So does it work?

I dunno - but I'm planning on voting Labor, and according to the vote-a-matic, that's a good idea, because they "won" according to my preferences. With my preference to the greens (I didn't have this part figured out).

So there you go...!

Let us know how you go, and whether it's true to how you're intending to vote or not...:D

Just kidding:p
Greens with preferences to Labor. Absolutely no surprises there!!!

Have to say though, cute idea, but a little too simplistic for my liking.

You should start learning about politics now so that when your time comes you are informed and make a good decision... I love politics and love knowing exactly what each party is offering. And when it comes time to vote I will be making an informed decision nothing worse then all these 18,19 year olds voting when they have no clue what they are voting for.... and most I know just go for whoever is already PM it frustrates me soo much!!

This is a very important election IMO... I don't think I've voted before (on federal level), but I never wanted to/cared much until recently.

Who did it say you SHOULD vote for if you could vote Kate?
