I LOVE pizza and often make it at home but I never seem to be able to make the pizza base as yummy as the pizzeria. Do you have a good recipe?

I've always used a scone dough recipe. But then I discovered those pre sauced bases in the supermarket and then after I went to Italy I figured why try to do something I'll never be as good as them at!!
I have an awesome recipe, really easy and makes pizza better than a pizza shop!
Will post it for you later this arv, have to go and get DD down for her sleep now though...

My best pizza base recipe is.........keep buying it from the pizzeria cause it's the best
We have a "Little Italy" pizzeria near our place and it kicks a*@e. I'm yet to find another pizzeria who does better.

We just use wholemeal lebanese bread. Its yummy and light and doesnt leave you feeling stuffed like dough can.

Yup lebanese bread here too, sooooo easy and sooooo yummy :)
I am so sorry I forgoit al about this till I made pizza last night!
Here is the recipe..
4 cups pain flour
350 ml warm water
1/4 cup oil
2 (7gm) packets of dried yeast
1 tablespoon salt
Combine water and oil and spinkle yeast on top, leave for 5 minutes until a little foamy.
Sift flour and salt into a large bowl, add water and oil mixture, knned for 10 minutes until smooth dough.
Sit in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a tea twoel. Leave in a warm dry place for 45 minutes to rise.
After 45 - come back to dough, punch down with fist to release gas and kneed a little more.
Split into 2 or 3 lots depending on how thick you want your pizza bases - I usually make 2 huge pizza bases - medium thickness.
You can also freeze half for an easy pizza next time.
Good luck!
If you have a bread machine, just use a white breadmix on the 'dough only' setting. If you can get a pizza and foccacia mix its even better.
Makes two large pizza bases, when rolled out thin.
I usually freeze them par-baked or freeze the extra pizza for later consumption.

1 tbspn of yeast
3/4 cup of warm water
pinch of salt
pinch of sugar
2 1/2 cups of flour
2 tbspns of oil
In a bowl place the water with the sugar and salt, sprinkle yeast over the top and mix with a fork. Cover for 5 mins and it will begin to bubble.
Add oil and flour mix well. Knead for 8 mins. I prefer to leave it covered in a warm area for a few hours (but that is not needed).

I have a really quick and easy pizza dough recipe.... just natural/greek yoghurt and SR flour.... from memory its about a cup of flour to a small yoghurt tub, but I generally just mix the SR flour into the yoghurt til I get the consistency I want.....
Just pop it on a greased piece of foil.... top with whatever you want... pop it in about a 200 degree oven and bobs your uncle!
Another great option is use a square of puff pustry.... so easy to top straight out of the freezer and oh so yummy..... just make sure you pop it on the tray ur using before it defrosts....
