Ok Girls, I've got a question for all of you...
When I had my first OB appointment this week, I made sure that I had waxed the strays and done a trim down there. I was thinking that if my OB needed to do an internal it wold be difficult to find the way in! It turned out that i didn't need to bother with it anyway.
Does anyone else make an effort like this? One of my friends (who hasn't got kids and isn't preggers) asked if i'll go and get a brazilian before I'm due...
Ok - for the mothers out there, did you do a little personal grooming before giving birth and OB appointments?
And for the first time mothers to be- are you as funny as I am about someone seeing your ungroomed girly bits?

Oh honey, I had a chuckle!! I used to wear clean undies, thats all.
Seriously, they see so many and have seen it all - and don't pay attention like you do.
By the time you get thru birth and everything, you won't care who sees what:laughing:

I think once they have seen one they have seen them all and they dont really look if you know what i mean, well i havent had a doc down there looking only for smears
I try to keep mine trim number 1 usually and shave sides and top etc but thats about it, at the moment its a bit of a mission for some reason shaving in front of a mirror just doesnt cut it LOL i do it backwards and end up doing more damage than its worth
I think its personal preference really though :)

Nope... once the bump is blocking my view, I don't do any maintanance...
and seriously, you never know when you're going in to labour.... it might happen the day before you've got your brazillian booked!
I don't think they really pay much attention.

I was totally tidy lol I heard the DR telling the nurse to shave me when I went into theatre for my Emergency C/section and she said "it's OK there's not even a 5 O'clock shadow there. I nearly died lol
Yes I stay tidy all the time legs everything it is what I do normally so why should it change!

If you can't see it or reach it, don't worry, or else pay someone to do it. Waxing is nuthin - I'm getting tidied up on Tuesday! They shaved me for my first bub and the regrowth was a nightmare - didn't tell me about loofahing, but then I was so obsessed with the pain of my episiotomy it probably didn't matter

I have always got the brazilian done so I will be getting it done next week, I will say the pain is worse when you are pregnant, but so is the birth so care factor Zero.. I do it cause shaving I get stubble straight away and in growns and the itchy feeling after shaving no thanks. Ive been waxing for yrs now and it hardly grows its great, neat tidy and no spider legs anywhere.. Lots of other great reasons but TMI.. Lets just say its well worth the pain...:yelclap::smiliedance::yelclap:
I am always shaved, but should try getting a waxing. Might do that when it becomes to hard to see my bits!! lol

When I was 11 weeks prg I got my first brazilian - it was my plan to upkeep it til birth as it was one of the things I was worrying about ...
I only did it for 3 mths or so then really couldn't be stuffed lol. Before I went in for my induction or any internals I would (by looking in mirror since I couldn't see below the bump!) shave my bikini line.
I need to go & get a wax again as haven't had it done since 6 mths prg & I hate the itchiness shaving causes & the effort. It does hurt (well kills!) the first time but gets better.
I went to shave the other day & I couldn't shave top on my c/s scar so that's the only thing I am worried about for getting a wax ...

I am a MASSIVE fan of brazillians, and at my last appointment my usual waxer said not to worry at all about being preggy she has no problems about waxing me right up until the birth.
I am waaay more scared of getting shaved. Ouchie!!!!

Thanks for your honesty girls!
I've always done my own waxing, so i think i'll have to start paying to get it done once i have a big bump...
Call me a neat freak!

I was a shaver until I bought a battery operated trimmer, takes it right down to what shaving does but doesn't cause the itching and ingrown hairs that shaving does. Once I start getting bigger either DP will trim for me or I may get waxed.
