I was just looking at my sleeping 5.5 month old... at her perfect little mouth, round little cheeks, scuplted fingernails... and I was wondering, here at BH, is there an abundance of beautiful children?

I have got one hot little bubba too :thumbsup: . I love him so much my heart could burst with it. Beautiful does not do him justice :D .
my dd is gorgeous in her own little way. like an angel.:thumbsup: specially when asleep.:D
I sometimes wonder if my mama eyes make her look more beautiful than she is! But... I don't care. I love her no matter what!! She is my beautiful little angel monkey grrrl :thumbsup:

I think all parents think their children are gorgeous - I know I do :)
In hospital the docs and nurses passing her cot would usually stop and say hi to her and say how pretty she was:)
It would be so funny if someone replied to this thread and said "Nope, ours is an ugly one". :laughing:

Yep - two little stunners in this family - they constantly take my breath away with their sheer beauty.
Sometimes I just quietly look at them while they are unaware I am there and think to myself that I am so amazingly blessed to have such gorgeous children ... both inside and out!
I can't go past the little freckles on their noses ... they are just sooooo cute!
My boys are so utterly adorable that i want to eat them all up

sorry ladies, whilst i agree that at bubhub we do indeed have an abundance of gorgeous children, MY children are so divine that it would take your breathe away :p :p

Owen was a hideous newborn. I truely couldn't believe how ugly he was. He is gorgeous now though. I think some Mothers can look attheir children objectively and I think I am one of them.
No Emysmum, probably not, but that was the point of the joke:D

For me personally, I always feel a bit "pitied" when I tell people how beautiful I think Vallerie is. Because usually what they say back to me is: "Yes, it's wonderful what those Cranio-Facial surgeons can do these days." Either that or "Yes, she has gorgeous eyes" which to me is like saying to a fat person "at least you have a pretty face".
And in the early days I wanted to punch them in the face and scream at them that she was born beautiful, she was beautiful before her surgery, and she will always be beautiful.
True, every child is beautiful. But it's just really hard when the "rest of the world" see's something "wrong" with your baby.
Sorry, didn't mean to depress everyone or make this thread serious in any way :laughing: just wanted to put in my 2c worth.
Hey Queen, I know EXACTLY how it feels. Some people are idiots. I find people staring at Em sometimes and all I say is "She's beautiful isn't she." I hold my head high and keep walking.

Hey, guys - that is the point ....
we love our kids so much that we know they are beautiful.
Doesn't matter whether they will hit the Most Beautiful People Awards in Who Magazine... they are ours, they are treasured and they are beautiful. Whether or not that is immediately obvious to others isn't the issue: because to us, they are beautiful.
This is about our eyes ... complete with the same love goggles that we wear when we look at anyone we love. Haven't you ever noticed how someone you might think quite ordinary to look at becomes so attractive as you learn more about their soul - their generousity, their wisdom, their wit, their kindness, their intelligence...whatever it is inside that somehow makes them beautiful on the outside.
So, take a moment to wallow in parental pride and enjoy it! Soak it up, bask in the faces of your children and sit back and relax! We'll be doing it right alongside you.:)
