Hi everyone well i need some info i need to lose 25 klo and i was just wondering what type of diets are out there or tables i can take to help me lose weight and how well did these diets or tables work for you :)
I have tried the appetite suppresents and they work well if you are an overeater but wouldn't work so great if you ate healthy and normal sized portions.

HI Monique
i also have 27.5 kilos to lose i started weight watchers last wednesday so far i have lost 2 kilos; the first week you always lose more as apossed to subsequent weeks but i have started to feel a bit more energetic.
I was told to aim for 1kg or if breastfeeding 1/2 kg a week.
I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes in my last pregnacy and the diet that I stuck to for that was fantastic! I lost so much weight that a week after I had my little boy I weighed 14kg less than when I fell pregnant!
It's quite easy and is basically low carbs, low GI, low sugar and plenty of exercise.
For each main meal you're can have 2-3 serves of carbs( 1serve = 14grms) and for each snack allow 1-2 serves.
You also need to do some form of exercise in the first two hours after you eat. Be it an exercise bike, treadmill or walking on the spot in front of the TV for 10 minutes.
We have actually adopted this as our new way of life, especially as we are now trying for bub number 3 I want to be as healthy and fit as I can be. I now also do 2 3km walks a day as well as work on a walking machine and exercise bike. I have gone from a size 18 to a 12 and I'm working on being a 10 before I fall pregnant again.
Best of luck and feel free to pm me if you like.

I used to do weight watcher before I was preggas with dd. I lost around 10kg, its pretty easy you just follow their points guide. You can just eat normal stuff as long as you stay with in your allocated points. Im thinking about going back to lose my bubby fat. Heres a link to there site all the info is on there about prices, the program ad where you can find a meeting near you:

how r u going do u have an idea with what u will do re: join a club etc... if u would like an on line buddy i would be happy to be one:smiliedance:
Hi Monique,
I did Herbalife and it worked fantastic! i was never hungry, had heaps of energy and lost weight at about 1kg per week.
absolutely loved it. also, i've kept it off. they teach you what kinds of foods to eat after you have finished on the shakes so you don't put your weight back on.
Emma.
Me too Oscar's Mum, I try and do extra in the exercise department to make up for it, though not always.
I don't think there are any quick fixes for losing weight but that has to be one of the easiest diets to start and adapt to your life style and it worked!!

I want to lose about 30kgs so i went to my drs the other day and she has given me a prescription for some tablets to help me lose weight.
She has given me tablets before called tenuate which didn't help much as you take them 3 times a day an 1hr before food. i found that to be the problem as i snack and i don't have a set time in which i eat. so i tried tenuate dospan which was fantastic you take it once in the morning and it suppresses your appetite. i lost 13kgs  on it over about 6 - 8 wks i think but when i tried it again it didn't work i think my body had gotten used to it.
anyway my dr has prescribed reductil which i will start on the weekend so i will let you know how it goes she said it reduces you appetite but also speed up your metabolism which is what i desperately need. fingers crossed it will work.
by the way none of these tablets are cheap, your look around $45 i think for the tenuate and tenuate dospan and i was told to expect to pay about $100 for the reductil for a month.

I have pretty much tried every weight loss technique under the sun, some healthy, some not. This year so far as been the most successful weight loss to date. I am not taking anything, I am not paying a company to feed me or tell me what to eat, I don't go to the gym.
I have simply changing my eating. Sounds ridiculously easy. The thing I have found is that you have to ready to change your life. All DP and I have done is making sure we do some form of exercise 3 times a week, walking usually. We bought a playstation eye toy game called kinetic which gives you a 12 week program with a computer generated personal trainer, as we as being able to choose the exercise games we want to do. It is fantastic.
With eating, we have simply changed the way we look at food. We strive to only eat wholegrain or wholemeal everything meaning breads, pasta etc. Adding more fruit and vegies, cutting down our portion sizes, drinking a minimum of 2 litres of water a day. We also plan our meals, so we aren't caught short. And if we do hit a patch of can't be bothered cooking tonight, we try and make a better choice of takeaway and go for things with more vegies, more salad and nothing creamy.
We let ourselves eat chocolate, chips, drink zero coke when watching a movie, but only buy a small bag of chips, I litre coke to share and one chocolate bar.
by doing all of this DP and I have almost lost 5 kilos each since the middle of January, and feel so much better!

And here I was thinking it was just eating properly!!
I do sureslim and have lost 10kg in 2 months(but I haven't stuck to the plan all the time). It costs about $800 but u can get a payment plan of $44 a fortnight. It teaches u a new way of eating and have a maintainance plan when u reach ur goal weight. You have one on one consultations every weeks where u get weighed and get motivation.
This is the only thing that has worked for me. I lost 2kg the first week and I know people who have lost 4.5kg in their first week.
Even better, you don't have to exercise if u don't want to! I haven't done any!
Anyway there's a website http://www.sureslim.com.au
However if you REALLY want to get an idea of it from people who are on the diet, there is a forum that was made by a girl that is on the diet. You can read people's diaries of their weight loss journey, I have one on there myself. http://www.sureslimsupport.com
