Pregnancy and teeth

:wave: Hi there,

I'm nearly 8 weeks pregnant and the past 2 days my teeth have started playing up. Yesterday I ate a hot chip and bit down on a tooth and it hurt so much, felt like it went right down to the nerve :no: I showed hubby and he said 'yep, that looks pretty shot' which means 'yep, you need a filling'. Has anyone had a filling while pregnant, especially in the first trimester? When I was pregnant earlier in the year the same thing happened, (my teeth really start to give me grief when pregnant) and I had a filling. The dentist told me that it was safe I did go on to miscarry (highly unlikely that it was because of the filling I know but .....).

Just wanted to hear from others who have had fillings, then gone on to have healthy babies! I know not to have x-rays, but are fillings ok??

hi there ive also had alot of trouble with my teeth its a pain i know i had heaps of trouble in my first pregnancy ans was at the dentist like three times during my pregnancy:hair: This time in my first few weeks probably where u are now i was bck there had a rotten toothache and yes he took it out just be sure to remind them that you are pregnant but it shuld be fine i had no probs and had a healthy bub goodluck
