If she is still continueously throwing up in a couple of hours i would take her to the hospital or the docters in the morning.

Call your nearest hospital and ask for advice. If its serious and she wont stop i would take her to the hosp.

Ringing a hospital will not do any good because they are no longer allowed to give any advice at all..
I would definately take her in though, asap. I had just been in hospital with gastro. I can tell you it is the worse

We have Nurse on Call here which is a phone line with qualified nurses to give you advice. Do you have anything similar to that?
Didnt know that hospitals cant give advice anymore. Might be worth just taking her in just in case.
Can you call 13HEALTH...
isn't that a national number?

Well, if its just gastro then they cant do much.
If your DD cannot keep ANY fluids down whatsoever then take her to the ED so they can give her some IV fluids.
Hope she recovers soon. :)
Actually it sounds like it is bad so they might give her something like maxalon to stop it! I had to have fluids and maxalon as I was severly dehydrated and I am 27. I dread to think how your lil girl is:(

As a PP said the main worry is dehydration - if she cant keep any fluids down then they may need to put her on an iv, so I would take her to your nearest ED.

My kids had severe gastro a few months ago. The only thing they semi held down were hydolite iceblocks that you can buy from the chemist.
All the best hun, I know how hard it is.:hugs:

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies. We ended up calling that nurse line, she said just to wait it out until morning as it might have just been a tummy bug and she said it should clear up by morning. Well it didnt so we called our local doctors surgery this morning and the on call doctor said take her to hospital. So we did and it they said it was gastro and there was nothing much they could do for it. Anyways she is still throwing up but will take fluids now (even though they come straight back up). Hopefully she stops throwing up soon otherwise I will be taking her back, as she isnt keeping the fluids down......Ohhhh its so hard to watch them go through this. Thanks everyone for your help.
