Hi I'm new... sorta

Hi everyone :wave:

I'm Ash and I'm a recently single dad to my 21 month old son Shelby.

I actually used to be a member on here when Cowboy (his nick name - long story) was born, but as time progressed I lost track, so I'm signing up again.

I'm 32 years old, living in Epping (Melb northern subs) and really just wanting to get in touch with other parents for a chat and possibly meet up with people sometime in the future, cos I could do with some new mates.

This is really the first time I've been single for just over 9 years so its all a new experience to me and I don't think I'm out there looking for anything to be honest, either I'm not ready or not that confident - either way I'm also scared of getting hurt again.

Well, my boy doesn't live with me but he stays every second weekend and a couple of evenings a week, plus the Sunday afternoon of my "off" weekends.

My ex doesn't live too far away so I can pop in to visit Shelby any time, which is good. Luckily that we are both grown up to put Shelby first and be civil to each other, no matter how difficult it can get at times.

Anyway, that's pretty much me in a nutshell... I'm sure I'll think of more as time goes on. In half an hour's time I'll be off to pick up Cowboy for this evening so I'm pretty happy at the moment.

Its good to meet everyone and hopefully I can make some new friends :hugs:

Hi ladies (and fellow dad's) I am still alive and so is my little Cowboy.

I've been absolutely flat out working nearly every day for the past fortnight.

Plus we went away camping in Bendigo last weekend which was awesome and daddy even managed a lil romance... woo hoo!

Well here's some news. Without explaining too much, the romance is not going to be happening anymore. It was my call and we both weren't ready for it to continue just at this stage for a few reasons.

Well, Cowboy's 2nd birthday is only about 3 weeks away now on the 20th.

If anyone in Melbourne is interested in coming to a BBQ for his special day, I am having an open invite at Bundoora Park, Plenty Rd Bundoora on Saturday 22nd December from 12.00 mid day. BYO meat and drinks - I'll have sausages in bread supplied.


On another note, daddy has found some more romance, this time it looks like it might be the real deal... only time will tell
