I have been looking for a way to get one for less than 100 bucks for a while and have found it for $81!
I don't know if I'm allowed to use the name of the shop on this website, but "the opposite of little, 23rd letter of the alphabet" is selling them for $81, which I think is a BARGAIN, given that you can't seem to get them off an "auction site beginning with 'e'" for that amount.
Thought I'd share my find.
LOL...dont need a breastpump but I like your "code language" hehe. Gave me a little chuckle:laughing:
hey christoobs!!! :)
just double check your local pharmacy too --- umm... (the opposite of ill) (old mcdonald had a ______ + acy )- hope that code is right :) had them for $74 when DS was born... I was SOOOO excited...
you're funny christoobs  love the code... wanna chat more in code (translation - need to get out more!!!)
((hugs))
LOL LOL...this code talk is appealing to my overtired, should be in bed, delirious mind at the moment LOL:rolleyes:
Anyone been to the material off a sheeps back + _______ your weight in gold + "S" lately?

Would love to chat, but really should get to bed. I am 1 day over my due date so should get all the sleep I can get {{horizontal position assumed with varying levels of consciousness between bathroom excursions and 3 point turns}}.

Back to the topic...
If you're looking for a cheap breast pump have you looked for one second hand? A fair number of mums buy them when pregnant and then barely use them. I know it may seem a bit gross, I thought so too before I used one. But once sterilised what is the difference from new? Especially the Avent ones - just pop in a huge pot of boiling water for 5 minutes or use a microwave steriliser. I sold my Avent through a 2nd hand baby store for less than $50.
oooh mathaM- you didn't use code!!!!! spoilsport!!! :p
ffrenchie- that took me AGES to figure out DER.....
-good idea re:second hand - keep an eye out on bubhub :) since the e auction place hasn't helped!

hehe - the fleeceworths gave me a giggle as that's where i work! ;)
as for the 2nd hand pumps... that fully grossed me out at first, too. but then i thought about it & realised that if i steralised it, it would be okay (providing it wasn't used much), also i was thinking of buying new bottles to go with it...
HOWEVER, then i thought - y buy one?! if i'm going to breastfeed & be home with bubby all day, will i actually need one? also, if for some reason i can't breastfeed, it means that i'd have wasted my money (which i may/ may not get back if i sell on that fifth-letter-of-the-alphabet place-that's-an-indentation-of-a-shoreline-larger-than-a-cove-but-smaller-than-a-gulf*)
please let me know y i should/ should not buy a breast pump! thanks!! it's an expensive item i'd LOVE to cross off my list of 'to buys'! ;)
*with thanks to dictionary.com ;)

My sister hired an electric breast pump ffom the chemist, all she had to buy for it were the tubes and attachmnts which werent too bed .. could be an option? on the other hand why not wait to see if you definitely need it first?
Hi Girls
I can see you are enjoying your "codes", but I'd just like to let you know that personal recommendations are OK, provided that you are not benefitting financially. So please mention Woolworths, unless you own them. The same rules apply for web-based or home-based businesses, you can recommend them, provided that you won't benefit financially.
There are other parts of the forum where you can advertise, but we like to keep the general threads ad free.
:yelclap:
..but it's soooo much more fun talking in code;)

i agree - the codes r fun! :D & they were messing with my brain since i worked 8pm - 5:30am this morning & haven't slept yet... ;) yes, i'm going to bed... just checking ONE last thread.... really ;)
littlepickle - thanks for reaffirming what i thought, i WILL wait until i know if i need t or not, unless i come across an absolute bargain! ;)
I got mine delivered to my door for with a bottle of Vitex tablets for $91, and the tablets cost $11 everywhere else. Also scored points for EMC by doing it :smiliedance: which I thought was an amazing deal!
If you decide to rent - the ABA rents them too... might be worth a look??
- what about buying one.... but keeping it in its wrapping ... with the receipt?? mind you - I bought one on the way home from the hospital (slight detour past umm in good ________ + letter after D... + oldmacdonald had a ______ + acy- that place I mentioned earlier in the thread) ... I used it THAT night :D
good luck - you'll decide what is best for you!!

Well, that will teach me to stay up till 0130. I went into labour at 0400 and delivered 25 hours later (obviously very sleep deprived)!
Anyway I have a lovely little girl weighing 8lb 6oz (3810g) born at 0504 on 23.2.6.
Oh, and keeping with the previous theme, thank God I bought the avent pump when I did. My "replace b for t in second syllable of my username" are soooooooooooo sore that I'm having to pump one while I give the nipple a rest to recover.
