Can I deliever normally after C/S?

Hi

With my second preganancy I had a c-section due to placenta previa. I delievered normally with my first and really enjoyed the experinece and would love to deliever again. Im due in Aug with No3 and want to know if anyone has delievered normally after having a c-section.

Yes, you can. It's called VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) and I think there are some birth stories on here. I'm sure some other mums will post tomorrow too with their own experiences.

Absolutely you can deliever normally after having a c-section. Read up as many vbac stories as you can ( google them ) for inspiration - mine is here in vbac section too.

Many people go on to have very beautiful, succesful VBACs, and since your C sec was for placenta praevia, there is no reason why you cannot have a VBAC! (so long as you don't have PP again..) Good luck, enjoy the info!

I had a caesarean with my 3rd baby and found it so hard to recover compared to a normal vaginal delivery (probably just me) and I successfully managed a vaginal delivery with baby number 4.

The doctors did try really really hard to talk me out of it but at the end of the day it is what I wanted to do, if there are any doubts they can prep you for an emergency c-section while you are in labour just as a pre-caution.
