Nick Jr - You're freaking me out !

DS absolutely adores Joy on Nick Junior - he always has a big smile when she's on.

Unfortunately, the only face I have when I watch her is one of bewilderment. I recall her from All Saints as the mummy with bi-polar disorder who was, at the time, very unsafe around her child.

What I'm really wondering is if hosts for kids shows should have their history reviewed. I'd bet if she was a playboy centrefold in the past, she wouldn't be a kids entertainer but he may see her on All Saints one day as a fairly deranged character and that's ok ?

What do you think ?

I am with you 100% - I look at her and think "psycho". Then I see her tight pants and think "still psycho" and then I see her pretending to sing along with a small American girl in a garden made of letters and I think " yep - still psycho".

The memory can wear off - for a long time whenever I saw the actor Mark Harmon I though of Ted Bundy as he played him in the mini series. When he started playing Cybil Shepherd's love interest in Moonlighting (remember Bruce Willis when he had hair?) I got shudders.....but now he is the very cool dude on NCIS and I just think he is hot....so 18 odd years later the shudders have worn off. Wonder how long it will take for Joy to improve?

i dont think it should matter,,, they are just playing a role on tv,,, i dont think she is like that in real life,,, and if your son is watching nick jr then he is problemly never watch all saints or understand that show,,, tyler may be only 5.5months but i dont have a promblem with her watching nick jr,,,

Clowns freak me out too - all that happiness is a it too much. When I was little, a friend of my parents painted me a picture of a crying clown. At bedtime, I'd turn it around to face the other way.....

I find them to be completely evil! Someone once gave me a porciline (?) clown and I couldn't even bring it in the house.
My best friend once got a guy dressed up as a clown to chase me around a club :mad: but I got her back with her penguin phobia :laughing:

I think Joy was actually in a Ralph or FHM magazine a few years back.

We think it's weird she has goen from flaunting her body in a spread to Nick Jr.

DD isn't fussed by her but LOVES face when it comes on! ;)

Hmmm I can't actually remember what happened to her in the end....but I saw her this morning and it's still odd...

but I didn't know that she'd done some girly mag spread :eek: Surely we can find a host for kids shows with a .....ahem.....neater history ?

Oh well, if DS ever finds out, I'll say it is her evil twin....:D

I've never seen Nick Jnr, but wasn't Joy SMithers also in Bangkok Hilton as a drug smuggler who was executed by firing squad? I remember her peeing down her leg as she was waiting for the shots
