Hi all,

Just joined "the bub hub".

A little about me: Well I am 32, my husband is 37, we have a beautiful little girl who is 7. She was born with a cleft palate and we had some pretty rough times with her in the first 12 months, but she was such (and still is) a little fighter that those are just distant memories now.

It took us a very long time to decide, but we finally decided to TTC #2. A real shock to the system considering DD happened 1st go, and #2 was 10 cycles of TTC, but finally it happened and we had ourselves a precious little bundle of joy and a boy at that (LOL my husband wanted to go out and buy him a motorbike that day!). BTW he is 5 month tomorrow.

Anyway, about me, I am a Human Resources Coordinator and we live in the S/E suburbs of Melbourne.

Don't really know what else to say but I look forward to many discussions.

Take care all

Nicole

Hi,

Thanks for the warm welcome. We did have a pretty rough time with our little girl, but you know what, I honestly think my little man has been tougher. My daughter had to stay in hospital for 4 weeks so came home used to noise, in a routine and almost sleeping through the night. My little man is yet to experience/master any of those - LOL.

Anyway thanks again.

Nicole

I know what you mean Nicole - it sure is hard for a new bub to get used to all of those things. But they do which is great. My sister's kids were brought up in a very quiet house - hushed voices, phone turned down at sleep time, no TV etc.

My DS had none of those luxuries and became used to sleeping during noise. So much so that he can sleep in a pram for up to 1.5 hours whilst we're out at the shops or in a restaurant, the house next door is being renovated at the moment and last week they had a rockbreaker and he slept through that !

Cute little angels.:)
