What do you let your bub/kids get away with when you need/want to get something done, have been listening to whingeing for 3 hours straight, or just bl**dy well want to sit down for 5 minutes!!!???

Ds is only 1 so we are only jsut creeping into that 'I know what I want and I want it now!!' stage.
BUT, when he goes quiet in the longe I know he's got a remote (strictly a no-no) and usually I would go in there and do the whole 'no...ta for mummy" thing but sometimes I just pretend I'm oblivious!!
And, the computer is in the kitchen area so the keyboard often goes crashing onto the floor along with the whole system being repeatedly turned on and off. One day the thing is going to blow up and I will look at dh in bewilderment and claim we weren't even in the room when it happened!!!

I'm sure as ds gets older and wiser, teh lengths I will go to for peace will become increasingly adventurous - or maybe I'll just be able to throw on a dvd.....aaaahhhhh!

Reveal your secrets mummies!

I send DD1 out the back to play with her bunny - thank goodness the rabbit loves to get out and go for a wander around the yard (with her following it everywhere). She is pretty good with that as she knows she has to wait until bunny goes back in the hutch and she has to close the door before she comes inside. Somedays bunny likes to stay out for anywhere up to an hour :D those are good days!!! Although usually after about 10-15 minutes DD2 and I end up outside watching bunny too.

DD2 is too easy, I just pop her in the cot with her chewy book and her dummy and 5 minutes later she has crashed out usually for at least an hour - today it was 3!!

Oh yes, our poor, poor cat, I forgot. ds will just follow him around the house squeling (sp?) while he tries to find somewhere to escape to. I could let the poor bugger out, but sometimes i jsut need 'one more minute'

Please don't call the rspca!!

The next door neaighbours were we live think it is cute as DD1 follows at a discreet distance as she is too worried if she gets too close on bunny's tail it will go back in the hutch and she won't be able to follow her around the yard anymore. It is bunny's safe zone in her hutch and as much as DD1 hates it she lives with it she just tries not to worry her too much so she (the rabbit) stays outside!!

My nana has a dog and DD has always followed her around the house - I think the dog quite likes the extra attention really!!

Poor animals - so tolerant!!
