I have two beautiful IVF babies, to be honest after I fell pregnant Ive rarely thought about the whole IVF process, it just sort of faded into the background. But just lately Ive been thinking, what do we tell them, when and how will they react.
Anyone got any ideas, plans???

My friend had a fabulous way of dealing with a similar issue. She told her daughters they are so special they have 2 birthdays. One the day they were born and one on the day that she got them (anniversary of implantation date). She did this as soon as they were able to understand and they have grown up accepting the situation as totally normal and something to be celebrated (which of course it is!). To be honest nowadays they have dropped the 'second' birthday as they are that bit older and its not so relevant but they certainly don't feel 'unusual' for being ivf bubs...

We have thought about this too. We will tell our miracle boy and our other children (hopefully) how much we wanted them and how special they are to us and what we did to have them!

Clairet, i like what your friend did with her kids, celebrating the day of implantation. Thats too cute, i will never forget the day my son was put inside me, on March 18 2005 at 12:40pm! I might just copy her idea as well!!!:yelclap:

Brooke was an IUI baby .. and we plan on telling her mummy and daddy needed a kickstart .. more like MUMMY! I'm also going to tell her the story of when I saw this perfect little ROUNG egg .. I DID!!!!

When I was doing my shots and getting follie scanned for iui .. i had 3 eggs, 2 looked a bit tiny and 1 was GORGEOUS .. even my Dr said it .. and I still remember looking at that EGG .. well, I was looking at Brooke :D

that cycle YEP .. it sure did work and Brooke was perfect .. she got all 9's when born!

She was a good egg ;) also, I'm gonna tell her that she well and truely kickstarted mummy .. as I'm so fertile now .. I see signs that I never saw for 4 years .. so if we do fall naturally with # 2 .. then I will also tell Brooke that she caved the way for her litlte sister or brother to land on earth and enjoy the journey of life with us!

just had to share.
