View Full Version : Valco Runabout - What do you think?
Hi guys!
Just wanted to know what you think about the Valco Runabout three wheeler?
I've got a Bertini four wheeler and it's pretty good but my SIL just had a baby and she's got a Valco, I had a go of it and it felt really easy to steer, I really liked it and was thinking of selling mine and getting one of them. What's your opinion?
Well I just read about it in the product reviews section and it's not looking good, they all say it's good until you put the toddler seat on and considering that's what I'd want when I have no.2 maybe I'd better consider another option, let me know what you think.

I'm not much help on the brands, but IMO three wheelers are the way to go. They are so easy to steer!:yelclap:
Hi there,
I have a Valco Runabout with the toddler seat and that does make it hard to steer. But I do like the pram overall. I think all toddler seats are difficult. The only other complaint I have is that the shopping baskets plastic bottom broke the first time I folded it, in a very funny position.
I guess compare with the toddler seat on the Bertini, if you are thinking that far ahead. Good luck I have had 3 three prams for 2 children so far :p
Thanks!
Yeah I guess with any pram it's going to be harder to push and steer if you add extra weight.
Hi, I have a Valco Runabout & love it, I couldn't advise you of its stability or steering when you add a toddler seat but would be very interested in what you find out as we would want to put one on our pram when #2 comes along. I think that all prams would be a little harder to manouvere once you add the extra weight of a wriggly toddie. Good luck.

One thing that i found with mine is that it is quite wide, although probably no wider than any other 3 wheeler. No good for tight corners in shops. Ended up buying a valco stroller. Now have both of them in the car - use the jogger if I am going out walking and the stroller if I am going out shopping.
