We have a mega tray of those little brekky sausages, I don't think I've ever eaten meat at breakfast in my whole life, what do I do with them?

You could wrap them in puff pastry and then bake them. "pigs in blankets".. halal ones :P

I use them in a stew.

Brown off the sausages then take out of the saucepan. Soften some onion and garlic, add some vegies (any you like), tin of tomatoes and some stock - just enough to cover. Put sausages back in, then simmer for an hour with the lid off so it reduces.
Serve with mashed sweet potato. Alternatively, add some curly pasta or risoni to the stew for last 12 minutes.

cheers

Hey Alismama, This is a recipe I posted in another sausage thread a couple of weeks ago so I just copied and pasted it in for you.

Good luck with all your snags!

You can cook the snags with some onion, cut the snags up into bit sized peices.

Add a couple of heaped tablespoons of Gravox to about 2 cups of water ( or just folllow directions on gravox packet) tip into pan with snags and onion. Add a squeeze of tomato sauce too or say 1/4 of a cup.

Add a couple of cups of frozen mixed vegies and cook until gravy thickens and veg and snags are cooked.

Put into a baking dish, top with mashed potato and cheese.. it is sort of like ashepards pie I guess just with sausages not mince.

You can also make it the same but replace the gravy with a jar of dolmio.. Both are great and a hit with the kids. These are a couple of the recipes I used to make when I was a cook at a childcare centre.

Good luck!
