My DH has just called and asked if I can ask for BH members help for his workmate.
Her daughter has lumps on her legs, they care now causing her pain and her Dr said she needs to see a Paediatrician, now the problem is she can't get into anyone, they are either booked till early next year or not taking new patients.
Can anyone please recommend a Paediatrician in Brisbane.
Thanks for your help everyone.

We have seen DR Catherine Dawson @ NorthWest she is really good.
Our other Paed(whom we met for the first time yesterday) is a Thoracic paed so probably not so relevant.
DOes the little girl need a specialist or general paediatrician?

When DS was born his ped was Aaron Easterbrook - he works out of the Mater Medical Centre.
He was nice, young guy but very thorough.
Hope they can get into someone soon.

I hope she finds someone soon too. I've passed both those names onto her and she's ringing this afternoon see if she can get into to either.
Thanks for your help ladies.

We saw Dr Tony Prado who's rooms are at the Mater in South Brisbane. He is so lovely, really makes you feel at ease. When we were in hospital he used to bring his little boughter with him to do the rounds, sooo cute!

I second Dr Bruce Lewis at the Wesley (or is that third,,, lol)
DD pead is Dr Philip Harvey @ Northwest. He is fantastic. He also rooms with Barry Steinberg so she could kill to birds with one stone so to speak by riging their rooms.

I second Dr Prado - My DS seen him though the public system at the mater childrens and he is wonderful.
If you are concerned about the lumps I would go up to the mater or royal childrens emergency department and they can sort things out there (that is if you are prepared for a wait:rolleyes:) you child will probley get a referal to one of the specialests :)

Agree with this one!! Luckily we've got him booked already to attend our next birth in April 08 :)
It would be great if they could squeeze them in to see Bruce.
