Hi Rochelle - I know what you mean...it's such a huge adjustment when your first bundle arrives. Love the name you've chosen for your bub... looks like their are at least two Jackson's on the Gold Coast...:smiliedance: :smiliedance:

So your looking for a parents group.. I joined one when my first bub was born, found out about it on the notice board at the Robina Town Centre parents room - but I've heard people refer to the playgroup website apparantly they have listings of groups in different areas.

I thought I might do something different this time around and join a Gymboree group.. Don't know much about it yet cause I got side tracked when I found this site yesterday - but to my understanding it's a music based class with different things to stimulate growing minds. I'll do some investigating now and let you know what I find.

Hi Ladies - welcome to bubhub!!

I live on the Gold Coast and am 17wks pregnant with my first bub. And guess what? If its a boy, we're going to call him Jaxon. It must be a very popular name here on the coast!! Where abouts on the coast are you both? I live down the southern end at Tallebudgera

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I have a now 6 month old son and I started him at gymboree at Parkwood at 5 months. He loves it so much and is already learning from it. (He learnt to sit on the first day and now takes steps when holding his hands). There is so much interaction for both bubs and mums. The people there are great. There is also a time in all the fun to have a discussion topic every wk. My little man just loves it and I would reccomend it to everyone. :yelclap:

Excellent - thanks for the info, I have just found the address for the Parkwood one. Might give them a call today and book us in.. I didn't know if my son would get anything out of it being 4.5 months old so I've been putting it off for a few weeks - but I'm calling them today!

Thanx

Can he hold his head up yet? William started straight in the 6month class because he could already roll and hold his head up. The other 0-6month class is on after ours and it's always really packed. (On tuesdays anyway!)

Hi there! I also live on the Gold Coast and am very intrigued by this gymboree idea as my little boy has just started crawling.
We've recently moved here from Scotland and are trying to get out and about doing things and meeting people so will definetely look into this.
Can someone tell me where to find info on events/meets on the Gold Coast: I'm obviously looking in the wrong place!!:banghead:
Thanks!:yelclap:
