Hi Ladies
MGEMum - I'm a very tentative yes at the moment for 30th March. Food and I are just not friends  so wouldn't be too good at a bbq. I'm getting some bad m/s and it varies when I get it during the day. I will give you a call on your mobile and catch up Mon/Tues in the next few weeks anyway.

Hi, thanks for the invite but I have a baby shower to go to. My friend is struggling a wee bit so really need to be there to support her. Will be interested in any other get together tho :flowerz:
I've had a bit of a think and I don't think I will be able to make Sunday :(
I'm working full time (well, in between checking BH at work) and next week I will be on a training course all week that also involves studying every evening for an exam at the end.
On top of this I'm also trying to start a home business, rennovate a house, work out to lose this dam baby weight, visit relatives, oh and then there's that little task of looking after DS. The weekends are never long enough (even when they are 4 days) and I need to focus a lot more.
It sucks because I was really looking forward to it. I just don't have many friends in Brissy (tbh I don't really have any) and I know I need to develop some friendships but I just don't seem to have the time. *sigh*
I propose a 40 hour day so we can have more time for play :D
Everyone is most welcome at Tyler's birthay party - not having any family here - it is far from a family affair and is likely to be a small event at best... However - I am going to re-schedule it for the following weekend (Sunday 6th April) as I have failed miserably to plan ahead sufficiently to send out invitations or even buy his birthday presents!!
Easter and my new job threw me more than I expected and like Becs there are just not enough hours in the day.
So if the weekend after suits you guys too - let me know and I will PM you the address.
Hi Guys,
:flowerz: Congratulations Pauline!!! sending lots of good MS vibes :sunshine:
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been banned from the computer :gloomy: cause I haven't been going to the gym, only got a reprieve this week cause easter, car accident and a sick kid means I can't go anyway. :D
Can't make it this weekend, hubby wants to watch the bikes race at warwick and we are having family photos taken.
I should be free on Wed or Thur next week if anyone wants to meet up for coffee.
Hope everyone had a great easter.
Peta.

 Oh how terrible! I hope everything is ok :fingerscrossed:
 Oh how terrible! I hope everything is ok :fingerscrossed:
Thanks, Yeah I'm fine. Luckily I didn't have the kids in the car with me at the time.
I stopped at a stop sign and the chick behind me didn't. :shame: Not too much damage, I'm off to the insurance assessor today. Only problem is that I'll be without a car for a couple of days while it is getting fixed. :(
Thanks, Yeah I'm fine. Luckily I didn't have the kids in the car with me at the time.
Glad to hear everything is ok :)
I have some baby stuff that I want to get rid of and as you guys are the only Mummies I know I thought I would ask if anyone wants it.
1. About 2 boxes of Huggies toddler nappies (up to 15kg I think). I bought 6 boxes when they were on sale but James has grown out of them already even though he's just a delicate 13.5 kg. (We have to use disposables for day care)
2. An unopened tin of Karicare Gold newborn to 6 months. (Obviously still well within use by date!)
I have no idea what to do with this stuff and would much rather it go to a good home than clutter up mine. I'm an ebay virgin and I can't be bothered figuring it out just for this stuff.

Are the boxes unopened? If they are, you should be able to take them to coles/woolies/kmart/big w and swap them for the larger size.
I had an unopened packet of pullups that Angus outgrew and I took them in to our local Big W and swapped them for the next size up even though I couldn't remember where I got them from. They were fine with it.
Might be worth a go.
Wow this thread has been quiet for a while. How's everyone going?
Just wondering if anyone wants to meet up next week? I'm free on Wed and Fri, so if anyone wants to meet let me know.

Hi Ladies
It seems like forever since I've been to the thread. I'm now 13 weeks along and am still feeling under the weather. It's so hard coping with a toddler during the day when all you want to do is lie down so you won't throw up
Would love to catch up but will give myself a few more weeks to feel a little better (I hope).
Hope everyone and Bubs/Toddlers are well.
Hi everyone,
Pauline - Congratulations, I hope the morning sickness goes away soon.
I am back working, money seemed to be going out as soon as it came in. I don't mind, I love the fact that I am using my brain again!
Has anyone heard from Tina, I am curious to know if she is having more than one bub!! Last time we met up she was saying that her preg levels were really high.
I hope all is well

Is the redundancy a surprise or were you expecting/hoping for it?
Is the redundancy a surprise or were you expecting/hoping for it?
Kind of expecting it in, especially in the last day or so. Although it's not nice I'm really fine with it. I'm very employable and if I get a new job fairly quickly my payout will be enough to get a new bathroom which we desperately need. However, we can't work out whether to get a bathroom or a deck :detective:
Maybe I should have a BH Poll :p

Well it seems that it's great news Bec :)
Hard decision between bathroom and deck. Am happy to catch up when people are free - I won't be at the cloth meet-up as I now have a Toilet Trained Little Girl :yelclap:
If someone could start off by throwing some dates around for a catchup then we can get the ball rolling. I would love to go back to our "usual" place one Friday as Charlotte would desperately love a play there!
How - how's people fixed for this Friday (16th I think)?? I didn't make it to the cloth nappy meet because James got sick and I had to stay at home and clean up vomit (yah!). I'm happy to try the usual place although I don't know how James will go now.
He took his first couple of steps today :goodvibes:
Please can I join the party. I've recently moved and am short of people with kids to chat to locally.

Hi Ladies
Sorry I haven't been on for a while - we were at Noosa for a night on Friday (bliss :goodvibes:). Highlight of trip was Charlotte got to feed a piglet called Marmalade at Australia Zoo :)
Not sure how people are placed for a catch up on Friday 23rd May - but if people can respond and let me know I'll then PM details of our "usual" place.
PS - is anyone interested in going to the Bright Bots sale at Browns Plains on Thursday 22nd May?? - I've got an email invite from 9.00am - winter clothes start at $5.00!! - Let me know if interested........

Hi Pauline,
I can make Fri at the "usual", but only from around 11.30ish. If you or anyone else will still be around at that time let me know and I'll drop by.

I would love to come and see you all again but as I am working Full time at the moment, it makes it hard. I miss the meet ups and now Yacine is old enough to play in the Little play area. Though I would have to sit with her.
I will be on Mat Leave from end of Aug unless doc says I have to go earlier. Would love to meet up with all you girls then,.......
I would love to come along to our usual place this friday although I need to confirm before Thursday so I will organise DS not to be in CC that day.
Can we have a roll call for those who can make it latish morning at the 'usual place'. New people are v welcome :) and we can pm you the details later (the usual place is in Springwood).

If we are not going to get a big turnout/response for Friday, would you like to come to my place for M/Tea? I can also arrange my friend Michelle to come over with her kids (you last saw her just before she had her DD).
Let me know what suits.

Sounds good. I was hoping some new people might want to meet up on Friday so we'll just wait in case there's any new people and if there's no response by say lunch time tomorrow I'll come over to your place???

Hi again, would love to meet up but we have swimming on Fridays so couldn't be there until about11.30ish, is that too late? Not sure where the usual place is either (although can have a pretty good guess given the area).

I now have a commitment Friday morning I can't get out of :( My Dad is having surgery tonight at Mater and will need to be picked up from Hospital tomorrow morning. My uncle (who lives with my parents) is also having day surgery Friday morning and my brother and I are doing Hospital runs for them.
I am free tomorrow afternoon instead - does that suit?, or should we just make it next Friday 30th May and see how many Mums can make it at usual place??
Let me know your thoughts. If you are coming over to my place PM Friday just text my mobile. Any time after 2pm is OK for us.
Thanks

Did the thirty something mums all meet up?
I am 36 with a 14 month DD and one on the way so I think I qualify. Would love to have some other mums to catch up with! We recently moved up here from Adelaide so we are keen to meet some new people.

Hope everyone is well. Look forward to seeing everyone soon

Hi jayisa02, I'm mum to a nearly 5yr old boy and a nearly 1yr old girl and I'm in Kingston. We should meet up some time for a play date for the kids.
Don't know whether you're a SAHM like me or not, but did you know that the hyperdome library has babytime sessions of a monday morning and the Springwood community centre has "Butterfly Wings" (for under 2's) of a friday morning? They are free sessions and anyone can go. PM me if you want further details.

Hi girls!! Its been a while. Just wanted to come on to let you know that our 2nd Baby Girl arrived last week on 18 September at 1154pm. She was 7lbs 8oz, 54.5cm long and 34.5cm HC. Her name is Fabienne Christa-Marie.
Fabienne and I are doing really well and are so glad to be home. We got home from the Hospy on Monday but things have been so hectic I havent had a chance to check anything on BH.
Fabienne is such a good baby. She is on 4hrly feeds and sleeps most of the night.
I usually feed her at 11pm then again at 3am then she sleeps till 630-700am. Been pretty lucky so far.
Labour was about 8 1/2hrs and then only 9mins of pushing. I couldnt believe how easy it was the second time. Will try to put together my birth story soon.
Tina

Hi Ladies
It's been so long since I've visited the site...
We welcomed our 2nd daughter Chloe Josephine into the world on Monday 27th October 2008 - 7lb 9 oz - 53cm long. She is a great bub so far - sleeping around 10 hours each night - up for a quick bottle then back to bed for another big snooze before welcoming the day!
Pregnancy and birth with Chloe was so easy that I'm considering having another bub (if I can talk hubby around that is......).
Hope everyone is well. If anyone is interested in a coffee and catchup please post and we can arrange.
Take care :)
