Um I dont know if Im posting this in the right section.
My mother Died of breast cancer and I was wondering how many of us are out there That have had a friend or reletive die of breast cancer. They say its about 5% but I wonder. Seems like a lot of people you talk to have had and survived or know some one with or who has died of Breast cancer. I dont want to be morbid. What i would like to do is start a thread to help and support family and friends that have been in this situation and would like to talk or share how they feel.
Woman and Mothers are very special and Breast cancer is such a horrible deasease that effects almost always woman. How can we help? And how can we help prevent more cases of breast cancer in society. Does it start from us just loving our selves? How do we as woman stop the cycle? Thoughts please

Hi, my sister passed away this march from bone cancer. More needs to be done into the research of prevention and cures. I am currently trying to set up a fund in my sisters name to help raise $$ to research. Every little bit helps:yes:

We lost an Aunt a few years back. She was a nurse and knew there was a tender lump in her breast but didn't go see her GP until it was basically too late. Was a very long, drawn out, painful and horrific way to die. Has taken some family members years to recover from nursing & caring for her.
So very good first step is encouraging & teaching women to do regular self exams and get it checked out asap, as most can be cured if caught early. Which I guess is why you hear more stories of survival then death.
Just as many men die from testicular cancers, so self exams are important for them too.
