I bought a slow cooker the other day, yay for me, but can you cook marinated meat in it, since it doesn't have all that extra liquid in it?
I was thinking lamb chops, and what about chicken pieces?
It's not like a casserole or a lasagne with all that moisture I guess, wouldn't it dry out? Or would it stay moist?

I wouldn't see why you couldn't??
When i put my roasts in i put a little veg oil or olive oil on the bottom before i put it in and it stays moist, i guess i couldn't hurt to try but i would definately put a little oil on the bottom before hand just incase it does happen to dry out.
I chucked a whole lamb leg into mine with nothing else and it cooked fine and wasn't dry at all.
So it should be no problem. The meat will have it's own jiuces as it cooks anyway, so will just cook in that!
i do marinated chicken pieces all the time and chops etc - no extra fluid needed
I do lamb chops with a tin of tomatoes, bit of chilli, bit of brown sugar, a onion and some garlic......
Yeah that's the beauty about a slow cooker! I have NEVER burnt anything in mine yet. I have left stuff in it over night and it's come out beautifully!
But the marinade should stay nice, it shouldn't go sticky or burnt in a slow cooker.
slow cookers are great so i dont see why u couldnt do chicken and chops in it:thumbsup:
