Hi everyone, just a quick note to introduce myself - I'm a first-time mum to Aimee (5 months) and we live on the Sunshine Coast. I joined up to be able to chat to other mums with little babies, as most of my friends either a) live elsewhere, b)have older children or c) have no children! (Mostly C) I read the post about the get-together for the sunnie coast. I'd love to go, but can't make this weekend. I will be keen to go next time! Hope to chat to you all here and there though. A quick intro about us, Aimee's dad (30) is a chippie and I (29...ooh so close to that 3-O) am a part time town planner and part-time (new) "Creative Memories" consultant! I've just been convinced by a friend to start-up because I love scrapbooking and (apparently) have time to do it (hmm...doesn't she live in a fantasy world AND she's a mum too - she should know better!). (if anyone wants to chat about scrapping, it would make a nice change from 'baby talk'!) Aimee is our "little bug", 5 months old, a fat and happy baby. She is a first child, first grandchild... so very spoilt for love and attention! I'm sure I'll have a million posts about her (like later today because she has decided she doesn't drink milk anymore). Anyway, today ois a work day, so I'd best get moving, lunch is over!

Hope to meet other mums and sunnie coast families soon!
Nic

Hi Nic, welcome to Bubhub! I can't believe you haven't gotten any welcomes sooner, people are usually much quicker at it.

I hope you're finding your way around the site ok, if not just ask and I'll try to help.

Looking forward to hearing more from you :)

Hi Nic!!

I only just saw this post now! We actually have a fair bit in common!

I too am a Sunshine Coast mum, we are round about the same age (although I have just recently hit the dreaded 3-0 and have lived to tell the tale!) and our daughters are also around the same age - Claire will be 5m on March 11th (she is fat & happy too!!)

We had a great time last weekend & will be meeting up again soon (once this awful weather clears up I suppose!;) )

I am a bit crafty as well, but in no way, shape or form have I found time to do this since my bub was born! I deliberately have not gotten into the whole scrapbooking thing as I know it will become an obsession for me that I really just do not have time for right now! I have got a backlog of about 200 books I want to read before I get into anything like that! Plus my sewing machine has been feeling very neglected over the past 5 months!

I hope to catch up with you soon! Feel free to PM me - I love a good chat! :ecomcity:
