Hi all.
A few weeks ago I put the CC into action as he started to wake since teething. Last week he was only waking at 2.30am and over 3 days we went from taking 1hr & 1/2 to 30 min before settling.
He now sleeps till 4.30am :) then wakes for a B/feed. He used to wake at around 5.00-5.30, BF then go back to sleep and I was ok with that. Do I try and push him out futher then 4.30am?
I have tried increasing his solids a bit but it does not seem to alter. This morning he only went back to bed for an hour and was wide awake ready to start his day.
He goes to bed at 7.30pm each night and has only slept through for 12 hours 3 times at around 6 months. Im told he should be sleeping 12 hours a night.
Anyway interested in your thoughts
He is now 8 months old

Hi,

We sometimes have this problem - since teething were still up in the air a bit too!! She goes to bed by 7pm at the latest and tends to sleep till 'somewhere' between 2am and 5am for a feed and then goes back to bed till about 7am - this is great when it happens!! Occassionally since teething she might wake at 5am for a feed then only sleep for about half an hour to an hour then want to wake - I've tried to leave her but she just grizzles and cries - I give up after half an hour!! Some people suggest bringing them into your bed for a sleep in but my little one sees our bed as a jumping castle!! no sleep there!! I've read that if you leave them 15min longer each day it stretches them out? Haven't tried this yet? I also increased her solids at dinner but it hasn't made a difference!

Good luck - let us know if you find an answer - hopefully just a phase that will pass!

Its good to know others have had a similar problem. Most mums I know with babies at the same age are all sleeping through.
I will try extending it a bit but to be honest the last few nights I have been excited he did not wake earlier and also a bit selfish in thinking maybe I can go back to bed for after I feed him.
Unfortunately my little boy is a boob man and wont take a bottle. We have tried & occasionally he will take it but normally not.
Anyway thanks again.

Hi there,
My daughter is 13months and still doesn't sleep right through? she sleeps for 8.30pm to about 5.00am, comes into bed with us, has another bfeed and goes back to sleep for an hour or so. This was discussed on ths forum before, perhaps you could do a search for it, sorry can't remember the name of it though. Just remeber that all babies are different and have their own little patterns, I guess you just have to do what is right for you and your bub.
Good luck
Tracey
