I'm VERY unimaginative :o DS basically gets mashed up vegies for dinner every few nights, but i don't often make him anything else homemade. I got sick of putting in the effort to have it refused point blank :banghead:

I have ever made vegies and fruit.
Broccolini, cauliflour, brussel sprouts, pumpkin, carrot, green beans, spinach, potato.
I just combine a few of each so sometimes its green sometimes its orange.
For fruit, its always been fresh banana, slices of orange, purred apple, pear, fresh watermelon and lots of other fresh fruit.

mine have all just had what we ate basically unless it was something that they couldnt have, they were big on stews though i used to just take out the meat and veg before i seasoned it they seemed to really enjoy that :) otherwise just mash everything and let them at it :D

Before DD got to eating food pieces, I would have a big cooking day once a fortnight and make steak and veg, chicken and avacado, pears and apples (pureed) etc and freeze them in tiny containers. She loved it

I roast up a whole sweet potato in alfoil - the skin just peels away like a dream and its soo much more tasty as opposed to steaming. I use this as the the base and then add steamed veg to it and mash.
For lunch he has yoghurt and fruits:)

I give DD2 alot of mixed grains. Today for lunch she had quinoa, amaranth and rice cereal boiled together (in the microwave) with rice milk, mixed in some pair and then grated an apple into the mix. She loved it!
I often do things like that as they are so quick to make. I also do a big boil up of vegies and mash em all in together, the I also add in some boiled rice. I do that with fruit too. I then freeze them in ice cube trays or just in freezer bags.
As she is on a wheat and dairy free diet, it does tend to be a tad difficult depending on where we are as I cant just run in to the shops and buy a can of whatever, but we still have some good options. I generally just take a couple fo frozen cubes out with me and then heat them when needed.

We have a cooking day every fortnight here too!! Yesterday i boiled up one batch of sweet potato, regular potato, broccoli and cauliflower and rice and mashed it up and put it in little containers to freeze and i made another batch also with potato, pumpkin, carrots, green beans and rice all mashed up and put in containers to freeze.
As variations i also boil up some chiken breast and puree and add it to their vegie mash too.
Once they get a little older we just give them what we are having and mash it up but the twins aren't at that stage yet.
I always used to have veg mash on hand in the freezer though when the other boys were little just incase they couldn't eat what we were having.
As for fruit i usually give them oatmeal and apple, or oatmeal with a little yoghurt or some kind of puree or mashed fresh banana mixed in.
