First dental visit???

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering around about what age should/ or did you take your child to see the dentist?

Mine were all about 18 months i am not sure what age they recommend but they didnt really do anything to them just had a look around :)

Mine were about 3 but I guess it depends when your child would be willing to co-operate. There was no way mine would of anytime before 3:no:

I know over here in SA they have their first proper visit when they are in 4 yr old kindy. But it's up to you if you want to wait till then or to go before hand.
We went before hand only because DS banged his tooth on our raught iron bed and it went a bit purple.

my dentist said ideally as soon as they get molars come through...food gets trapped can lead to cavities etc...but she also said sometimes best to wait a little longer if the child wont cooperate :) Tillie pretty good at doctors so I will take her in a couple of months...as 3 of her molars are 1/2 way through...I think if you make sure you brushing 2 daily and not giving them sugary drinks in bottles should be ok :)
