Spiritual churches

I need some info on spiritual churches, does anyone know anything about them?

Chelle, there is one near me. I've never been but my friend attended for years and another friend is going to start attending their Friday night service and has asked me to come along. I can ask both of them for some info if you like.

I actually have asked, but details escape me right now so I'd hate to say something and it be wrong. Will come back later with info. :)

Hi Chelle, there is one right down the road from me, my dsd mum used to go to it, i could ask her about it, but she is causing a bit of a ruckus again atm, and might not be open to a friendly chat:rolleyes: anyway, do you mean those ones that call themselves 'christian spiritualist churches?' im pretty sure they somehow incorporate the Bible into their meetings, will ask my mum as well, she is into all that sort of stuff. :)

Chelle, while I was typing my reply to you earlier I was recieving an email at the same time from my friend who went to one for years. Freaky! :D

So I quickly asked her and this was her reply:

Most of them you pick a flower, put it in a paperbag and then upon entry you put in it a bowl (which they read towards the end of the service)

They usually begin with an opening prayer, then will have a reading from a book or from spirit, they sometimes have a healing section, either hands on or via meditation, they might have another reading, there is usually some singing to lift the vibrations (in between all of the above) and then they do messages from spirit - either using flowers or just tuning in!
The flower thing might be specific to this particular church.. I'm not sure. But I know there is a focus on readings and channelling and healing etc.. as opposed to normal church/bible stuff (not to say they don't do bible as Coops said.. in fact I will ask my friend if they go near the bible at this one just to clarify that).

Here's her reply to the God question:

Spiritualists have seven basic beliefs, they do believe in the essence of God, yet they don't go around preaching the bible nor Jesus.
