Bubs #2 was due on 21/09/09 and coming up to a week overdue, I was over it. Went to the Doctors and was to be induced on the 29/9/07 (our wedding anniversary!!).
Saturday arrived and I couldn't sleep the night before. Our DS was at Nana's and I was stressing so up at 5 am, had breakfast and a nice shower. At 6am I started getting pains every 5 mins but thought I was 'dreaming' and just caught up in the whole 'inducement' thing. The pains got worse but still every 5 mins so we were at the hospital at 7 for the inducement but... I was in labour already!!!
Midwife said I as already 5-6cm dilated and the pain was so bad that I asked for relief. She commented that we didn't have time but offered me the gas. It controlled my breathing and relaxed me as the midwife continued to be running around. I felt the need to push and our DD was born at 7:27am. Only 27 mins since we arrived at the hospital. No tears, stitches and a healthy baby. I was so proud of myself (and so was hubby!!) but relieved she was out.
Lauren Peta was born weighing 8 pounds, length of 54 cm and a content little girl. She feeds and sleeps well which is a relief. Our 2 year old DS loves her with many cuddles and kisses. Hope this good luck and routine continues.
thanks for reading my story!!
