View Full Version : Scrapbooking?
I spend alot of time scrapbooking and I was just wondeirng if any other of you lovely ladies like to scrap as well.
I was thinking we could get together and have 'scrap parties' every now and then. I'm happy to have it at my place, but if anyone else is happy to have it at theirs, we could have it at different places...
I have a enclosed backyard that's all just grass, so kids would be more than welcome, they can run amok out there lol. Oh and if my partner is at home, I can rope him into watching them all lmao.
I have lots of scrapping stuff for people to use and I can teach anyone who'd like to learn :)
Anyway, it's just an idea if anyone is interested.
HI Startlet,
I have done some scrapbooking, not a lot but do have some of the gear. I'm not very creative so I gave up, plus in the end I just couldn't afford to get the items I wanted.
What suburb do u live?
Sounds like a great idea though, hope a few take u up on ur offer.

Hi starlet,
I make all my cards etc for birthdays and christmas and also make other stuff when i feel like it. I want to get into scrapbooking. My latest thing is making a mobile for a child for when they are born. i have done that with my friends kids and will continue to do it for mine and others. i don't think they are the best things out or anything but people seem to like them. i guess it is the personalisation of it all that counts. atm i live in North Perth. moving to qld in a few months though.
I'm not from WA but I love scrapbooking. I just haven't had a chance to do any for ages. It would be great if I had a spot where I could set up and not have to worry about the kids getting into it, but... oh well.:o
I've started going to a craft group on night a month so I'll be able to catch up, I'm very excited!!:D
I'm in Gosnells :)
I have alot of TLC stuff, I joined up so I could order the stuff for myself at 35% discount lol. They come in theme sets, etc, which I thought was good for starting off with.
I also get heaps of stuff from ebay, it's sooo cheap on there!
I took up scrapping because I have soooo many photos of my kids, I had to do something with them!

I hear ya sister! I have all my stuff in those plastic crates(pink ones with glitter through it, I thought I'd better get something pretty to store it all in if I have to see it all the time). I have to unpack it all when I want to scrap and pack it all away again. It's a pain in the backside when you get inspired to do something, but it's all packed away. The kids love my scrapping stuff, if any of it is out in the morning, they won't bother to wake me, they get into it all!
In our old house we had a huge main bedroom, so I had a table set up in there (and only one kiddy that walked) but now we only have a fairly small house 2 bedroom with a sleepout that is hubby's office, so there just isn't anywhere to put it. And having two on the move and they don't always have nap time together... I have so much to catch up on. I have done any in the 7 months we've been here!

What is TLC stuff? sorry if silly question. :o
Hi Starlet,
I wish I was creative enough for scrapbooking and had the know how. I also have way too many photos just sitting there doing nothing!
I live SOR too, in Bateman.
Don't worry Linda I have no idea what TLC is either :o

not fair i want to join you but i live in vic:(
Yay, I love to scrap & would love to go to scrap parties but I'm in Adelaide so I'm guessing thats me out, although it is nice to see other mums who are into it. Some of my freinds think that I'm a dag but I love it.
TLC is Top Line Creations. It's a scrapbooking company over in America, my local scrapbooking shop sells some of their products, but I pay alot less for mine. I just love their stuff lol.

Yay! I love scrapbooking!
Im moving soon to a house with a big shed and I was thinking of starting a mums scrapbooking group/meet sort of thing, i wasnt sure wether to charge and buy a whole heap of supplies and morning tea or to let everyone bring there own stuff and have stuff for sale there.
Tell me what you guys think, I'd love to get together and swap ideas, i also tape some of DIY scrapbooking on foxtel, they have a good site its www.diynet.com
That'd be awesome, I could bring my tlc stuff and if people want ant of that stuff they can buy it, they'd be able to try the stuff out first, I don't mind sharing my stuff.
We could have classes to teach people who are keen to learn.
Ooh so much fun!
I loooove scrapbooking but am in Adelaide!! :(

I love scrapbooking, I'm just really really slack! LOL I have a whole heap of Creative Memories stuff, and I get a lot of stuff from Red Dot and King Kong. Believe it or not they have some really nice, really affordable stuff!! Kmart's good too. My MIL also got me this neat reusable sticker maker. it turns absolutley anything in a sticker! ie pics, sequins, ribbon. Heaps of stuff. It's really neat!
I'd love to meet up, but I don't drive, and don't think I'm up to lugging a 9mnt old and all of my scrapbooking stuff accross the transport system!! LOL:p
I just found this thread!
I am a beginner scrapbooker.. actually all I have is some random stuff and an empty scrapbook. But I decided to try it after being inspired by one of the mums in my mums group. I'm kind of arty so I don't think I'll have much trouble.. even if I don't follow 'conventional' scrapbooking rules. But I'd be in a get together.. aha.

I haven't done a lot of scrapbooking, but I went to a Creative Memories demonstration type thing with my mum & really enjoyed it. I had a burst a couple of weeks ago & did a few pages in Ava's scrapbook, but I haven't gotten very far.
I would love to join in if you are getting together to scrap! Would force me to get it done. (I can see myself in a few years time being very disappointed that I never got around to doing it.)
I live NOR, but I am willing to travel or host if others are ok to travel.
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH Scrapbookers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm totally addicted to Scrapbooking. Love the idea of having a meet to do some. I live in Canning Vale and hopefully will be moving to Thornlie in about 2 months.
Woo! Allycat, ur not too far from me anyway! I live just of Southern River Road :)
yeh i'm always looking for more friends who have kids about the same age as Jess

Hi, I'm new to this site.
I love scrapping. I don't do it enough. I have it all in the cupboards. I like using Creative Memories stuff, it is expensive but it lasts.
I like the scrapping shop in Canning Vale Scrapbooks of the heart. Excellent shop..
I live in Willagee,, I would love to do some scrapping with you guys.. At anybodies house, or mine..
So when are we going to do it????????????????????????????//
Well I have started scrapbooking. I've done a few pages.. I know not what I am doing but it's fun and great to go back over all the photos of Jade. :) I'm probably making some rookie mistakes.. but that's life :)

Hi,
Definately interested in getting together to do some scrapping I have a fair bit of stuff and i am happy to let people use my stuff, I live in heathridge, I don't have alot of room here but I am happy to travel.
Kelly:hugs:
I'm in Willagee, near Freo.
I have a playroom and from the table you can see the backyard which is only small.
I have had scrap days here before. So I'm more than happy to have it here..
YAY to all those who SCRAP!!! :yelclap:
I love it, I love it, I love it!!! This is another one of my addictions (along with bubhub)!!!
Unfortunately, I live in Melb so cannot join you all... Besides, I'm at my most creative at night (usually late) Just last night I was up until 12:30am as I couldn't go to bed until I had finished the page I was working on. I love showing my dp in the morning what I have done and he is always so proud of my work!!!
Keep up the good work ladies as your bubbas will love you for it when they're older and can look through all their wonderful pages.
There are also some great magazines that you can get ideas from if you are just starting out... Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbooking Creations, Keep Sakes, etc. They all have websites with hints and tips too... And for anyone who has Foxtel, there is a great show on at 11am and 5:30pm weekdays. It's called DIY Scrapbooking and shows you all sorts of cool things to do with your pages.
Happy scrappin' to you all!:D
