likelihood of PE second time around

Just wondering what people experience and knowledge is of how likely PE is for a second pregnancy.

I had it with my first, and now im pregnant to my second with the same father.

my dr seems to think that its not likely ill develop it again as my body will recognise what is happening and not freak out.

But i've had a midwife tell me that my chances of getting it are higher.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me. I'm concerned that it will prevent me from getting a place in the Birthing Centre.

I was just lurking on your forum and saw this question.
I have had PET twice and during my second pregnancy was told that I did have an increased chance of getting it again. Your chances increase if you had a severe case previously or you had an early onset of symptons eg before 30 weeks.

For me it was less severe the second time and had a later onset. According to the OB this is common.
