Hi there, I took my DS to get his 12mth needles 7 days ago.
He has a large bruise where the needle went in and also there is a big lump under the skin were it went in. It has been a week and the lump is still there.
Has anyone else gone through this?
Should I be concerned? Or is it just from the needle going in the skin?
Thanks

I'd take him back to the doctor/CHN/clinic where the needle was done. It's probably just a slight reaction, with no need to worry, but I'd take him to a health professional.
:)
Reactions need to be documented, so they can try to make the vax's safer for everyone in the future.

[Edited to add:] Also, Vallerie didn't ever get a reaction like this after any of her vax's. Bit of a temp yes, bit grumpy yes, but never a bruise and never a lump like that. Hence my advice that you take him to a doc. :)

Hi there,
My DS had the same reaction and the lump slowly disappeared over about 4 weeks I think it was.
If you are worried take them back to the doctor, but unless it is infected I'm sure they will just tell you to keep an eye on it.:)
