Is it compulsory to have the 18mo Vaccination? I think it is for chicken pox, its the last vac until he is 4 the medicare lady told me - i should have written it down!
My DSS hasnt had it, he attends daycare full-time and I thought all children had to be fully vaccinated to attend daycare?
Does anyone know? I know I can ask daycare but i dont want to interfere directly as he is my DSS.
Isnt the point of vac to prevent an outbreak?
As you can tell im new to parenting!

It's discriminatory to prevent children from attending childcare because of their immunisation status. So no, he doesn't have to be fully vaccinated to attend daycare.
NO vaccine is compulsory. Each parent has to make the decision for themselves, about what is best for their child in their family in their particular situation.

If you refuse the 18month old vaxx, wouldn't you still need to have to CO form signed Queenie to show exemption from the particular vaccination ?

Hi.
No vaccinations are compulsory so you dont have to give any of them but I think CP is on the schedule.

Loz :) I would say yes - if it's on the schedule, then it's probably smart to have a CO form just to explain why it hasn't been given.
lilblakduk :) Touchy - hmm yeah I would say so :) Only because people who are really informed about it are generally fairly passionate about it (which is only a good thing )
