Surface vent

OK, i'm feeling quite annoyed right now. i've just been on the tv week site and read that surface (double episode too!) was on at 11.20pm on saturday night but is advertised to be on at 6.30pm, and if that is the case then i'm not a happy girl because i missed it (although i will eventually get over it). when i turned tv on to watch surface on saturday men in black 2 came on instead, so off went the tv.
also apparently it is on at 11.30pm next saturday.
i'm really tempted to tell all the tv stations to pull their fingers out and keep programs at their original timeslots.
can anyone tell me if my fear did in fact happen that i did miss it?

OMG:eek: I wondered what happened on Saturday, couldn't understand why Men in Black was on and there were no sea creatures to be seen. The TV programme hasn't got it scheduled for next Saturday. How long do we have to wait for the next episode, why don't they replay the movie lenghth episode and why are TV stations so viewer unfriendly. :mad: I really love Nim he's so cute

Yep you missed it i'm afraid, Luckily we watched the movie afer MIB2 (HULK I think it was) and saw it advertised to come on next so needless to say we had a very late night....lol...but we did see it.

Okay - I videoed it. Somehow, me thinks it will be disappearing off our screens pretty soon. Obviously didn't rate too well for it to turn up that time on a Saturday night.

I watched it in the beginning, then missed lots of eps due to other more exciting stuff on Tues/Wed - whenever it was on, but thought I'd try it again. If you want some info on it, let me know cos it was a double episode. Not sure if my fill in would be any better than the recaps on the internet tho.:)

Okay mum2four jump in with anything I forget (or anyone else, or I will if I remember more!).

First, the Laura and Rich saga...

Laura tells Jesse's father that she can't take him again, and he is visibly upset with her and tells her that he and his girlfriend are getting married so Jesse will have some stability (get set here for some likely custody issues). Laura cries later when she is given a picture Jesse drew for her. Laura and Rich go to meet with "Mr Big", but only Laura is allowed to go - she is blindfolded and taken in a small plane to a lab with a woman (revealed as Samantha Morris), who admits to being Mr Big. Dr Morris reveals to Laura that she is part of a "corporation" that she was headhunted to to work on some top secret DNA work. She says that she and some others were the ones which designed the new vertebrate that Laura found. The catch with the corporation is that they can't have contact with anyone else and they don't know details of the whole project. These people apparently were involved with cloning since the 60's.

While Laura is away, Rich goes home to find out his wife is filing for divorce (no surprise there). So he wants to go on with the search so that it isn't all for nothing. When Laura returns (she is drugged and dumped), they go hunting for the main person in the corporation which all seems to be covered up. They go via pharmaceutical companies and are led to a company which seems to have been just abandoned. While there, Laura finds a picture of founders (which probably has the original man in it), and they find an old film from Tibet labelled "the discovery" - on this film they find piccies of the guy who's been after them (Davis Lee) - he looks the same age in the film as he is now - What The? - They figure that must make him about 80 now. Also while in this pharmaceutical company, Rich gets attacked by some sort of beast - it seems like a hairy gorilla man but originally calls out like a little girl so this must also be some animal that has been "manufactured". At the end of the show Laura contacts Dr Morris again to tell her they went to this company and someone comes in to tell Dr Morris she's violated company protocol and so must be eliminated.

As for Miles - he and Caitlin are getting closer, but he's seems to be getting some sort of transference from Nim. He goes for a kiss and ends up covering Caitlin in mucus. Caitlin tells him that although there's something weird going on for him, it's why she likes him - he's not normal. The guys in the lab decide to tag Nim and release him into ocean so he'll lead them to the school of creatures. Previously Miles has gone out with them and helped them to eliminate some eggs they found as he realises that the creatures have been killing people. Caitlin tells Miles he can't let them do this as although the creatures have been attacking people, Nim hasn't been. When Nim finds the school of creatures, there is a waiting group of men with guns who try killing them. There turns out to be too many creatures and they attack the men (pretty gory stuff). Miles turns up just as it's all getting out of hand and stops Nim attacking a man and pulls the tracking tag out of him. At this point, Miles tells Caitlin he has to do the right thing and walks into the sea, where all of the creatures follow him - kind of pied piper like.

Phew - don't know if I got all of it, but I'm sure others can help me out if there's more significant stuff I forgot.:p

I bet they have pulled the show off the air...thats so unfair,if they have I won't be suprised as they have done that to several shows on 10 already mid season.:mad:

The only one I'm upset about is Veronica Mars - they finished that at episode 11 and there's so far 22. :crying:

BTW - with Surface we were at ep 12/13 on Sat and by the looks of it they only ran episode 15 last week in the US, so we've about caught up to them, so we might take a break with this series for a bit.

Try www.tv.com for downloads, but as far as I know they only have up to episode 5 on download at the moment. There was certainly significant stuff this week with the whole - this creature is man made issue!!

ok thought i'd let all you surface watchers know that i had a look on my ditgital set top box epg (tv guide) this morning and surface is on at 11.30 pm sunday night, it could change though - we all know what tv stations are like:banghead:

I sort of expected this due to the fact that they only had details of up to episode 15 for the US. Make sure you set your videos for 2hours:)

I really love Nim he's so cute

I LOVE NIM TOO :kiss: , I balled my eyes out when he was shot :crying: , I kept saying to my DH in the weeks leading up to it that something was gonna happen to him, and that if it did I wasn't gonna watch anymore!!! Now those ******* scientists are hurting him!!! :mad:
