Wow 10 kids....A big pat on the back for you!!
I say with the washing alwyas be organised. At the end of the day all clothes go STRAIGHT into the washing machine when putting pyjamas on. That way when the kids are in bed you can put a load out. Your older kids should be helping you too.
Im onl 20 and have a partner and daughter and we use this routine all the time. As soon as the machine is full it gets turned on!
Welcome mum of 10 and WOW, good on u
Re: laundry...I wash everyday...loads as: whites, colours and darks..then sheets and towels. I find that having the clothes hung up in our dbl garage the best as I dont need to use pegs (I just neatly hang the clothes over the line) and I don't need to worry about the weather. I hate socks and undies...LOL, so they are the only things that get chucked into the dryer as it takes me 4ever to sort them out and hang them (needing pegs too..argghh). When I take the washing down..I just pull it all down and put it on my bed where I sort it into each persons pile...then start folding and putting away.
I can't imagine how much washing you'd have to do eachday..but I hope I gave you an idea or 2 :)

Wow! I don't envy your wash load one little bit. I feel like I'm always washing and I've only got 2 kids. I actually got a bigger washing machine last year for that very reason.
Well done on raising 10 kids!

Welcome and well done on 10 kids!!
Washing wise well i have to do it everyday they all pitch in and help when it comes to folding and putting away though which is great dd2 likes to help prob more of a hindrance but she pairs up the socks for me its quiet cute :)
With the washing i do the hanging out etc but we dry all undies and socks in the dryer (saves so much time) then when its done i throw it in the middle of the lounge floor and get the kids to put it into piles, dd9s ds's dd2s and mine and dhs' i dont know why but it seems to make it so much easier sorting it like that dd9 will fold hers sometimes and ds loves putting his clothes away.
Other than that i imagine 10 kids bring a heck of a lot of washing LOL i guess you have to keep on top of it :)
I am thinking 3 nearly 4 is bad haha but i wouldnt change it for the world!!

Hi Judy, I think you should change you user name to Super Mum
It sounds like you are doing a fanatic job with your kidlets
I have five beautiful kidlets myself and I get asked all types of hurtful questions too :hugs:
But I really think that they are just jealous and can't say anything nice
And your question about the washing I wash every day, but I do mine at night time and it's all ready to hang out in the morning :D

I think your wondeful for having 10 children. Where do you live? I have 3 and we are having a forth for sure. I get comments about how could we afford them and I HATE THAT!!!!! It's very rude and impolite to ask someone about there finances and this is what happens all the time.
I want 6 but we will have a bit of a gap and see. I have very hard labours and I also want to be sure I could manage!

Congratulations on your family. You must be very proud :yelclap:
I know how hurtful comments can be about large families. It is expected by a lot of people that a family of Mum, Dad and 2 children are the norm.
Anything larger than that gets gasps or those comments on how you can afford to have so many.
We're having our 4th child soon and have had horrible comments by people....the one about not owning a TV is well and truley expired in my books!
As a matter of fact this has been our only planned baby and we have loved every moment of this pregnancy and looking forward to when we freebirth her at home in just over 5 weeks time.
All the best with your family and I have no tips on the laundry except for doing it all at night, pegging it out. Also if you have a dryer, dont be afraid to use it if it is all too much and you feel like you're getting nowhere. I've only just learnt that in the past year. I'd rather have a higher power bill rather than be a stressed Mum :)
Hi, regarding your washing. I washed everyday, but when i took the washing in i had 6 laundry baskets each with the kids names on it, an when sorting would put it into there basket and put it on there bed for them to fold and put away. and if the washing never got put away, least we knew where our clothers where and sorted into their own basket. Also i used hangers for tops etc instead of pegging them on the line.

Hi supermum10/12, I know how you feel i have 9 kids 5 boys and 4 girls, I haven't had many comments about the size of my family for a while, but i still get people asking if i am going to have anymore, but i am not sure yet, maybe. Anyway good luck with your washing.
I think you truely are AMAZING!
I have 4 children and yes, I get it all the time. "So what made you have four at your age", "Its really unusual these days to have that many kids" You name it, Ive had it!
Yes, they should mind their own business...and they really should be giving praise if anything! Alot of parents cant handle 1 child let alone a handful- or 2:D so to have that many children and to be doing a great job is FANTASTIC!
The washing, well, with my 4 I have at least 4 loads a day, mostly towels...but its alot! Thats the first thing I do in the morning, a few loads, hang it, a few more, hang it...bring it in in the arvo and if theres light left get some done before the sun goes down so theres not alot for the next day. Works for me :) Hope you find some answers youre looking for!
GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!
P>S AMAZING!!!
