Just a quick note to let you know that i was watching Sunrise yesterday morning and they were talking about a new dvd that has been bought out called Raising Children which looks quite interesting. It was to cost about $15 i think but as of today the government (how nice of them!!) has made it free of charge. You can only order one per person so thought i would let you know if your interested. The web is www.raisingchildren.com.au <http://www.raisingchildren.com.au/> and you can order through there.

I got mine about a month ago and have watched one section, but it's bloody fab from what i have seen so far. Although Dave Huges is the narrator/host so he can get a bit annoying, but he is funny too. :D

Although Dave Huges is VERY annoying!!! the DVD is pretty good, I just skip past the intro so I dont have to hear him talking to the 'watcher' like they have no brain.

I just tried to get a copy of this dvd and would have to pay the $15. I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I can't seem to get one for free. Can anyone help?

Apparently the Government made the DVD free until end of October when the new Parent Pack started being distributed through hospitals to all new mums in the country (with the Baby Bonus application). So when that started, the period of free ordering off the website ended (according to the raising children website people.)
$15 isn't bad though for 5 hours of wall to wall great video (plus it's non-profit). I've had to watch it a few times to be able to take it all in. It has its moments, but it really does seem like it covers all the basics!
