Hi
Our bub is 4.5months old and bottle fed on S26. In the last few weeks she has only been pooing every 2nd/3rd day. It is not too hard, but not as soft as before. She used to go every day.
Should I be worried?
Should I change formula?

Formula changes the consistency to a much more...ahem....squishy poo, rather than runny. Once every couple of days isn't a problem as long as it doesn't become hard.

You can always try a different formula but probably don't need to.:)

I wouldn't worry, like rynosmum said, as long as it doesn't become hard she should be fine.
My DD is 13weeks and she sometimes poos once a day, other times she'll do nothing for a day or two, then she poo 2 or 3 times in one day. I guess it's just their little bodies developing :)
I probably wouldn't change formulas, this can sometimes make it worse.

My CHN said to me 48 hours, for formula feed babies. :)

well..let me just say that one of my midwives told me they had a record of 21days without a poo (closly monitored) in Toowoomba!!!

Also and this is not 100% reliable...but i'm just going with what the chemist baby nurse told me...S26 formular protein isn't completely broken down like breastmilk is...Karecare have formulated there formular so the proteins are already partly broken down so bub can digest this easier, making pooing easier as it's easier on their tummies...now this is only what i have been told.
My DD is a formular baby and she used to have a hard time on S26, always had bellyache,colix,reflux...the works. I changed her over and it's been a dream!!

But every baby IS different. :p like the others say i wouldn't worry:p
