Paediatrician that specialises in reflux

Hi i am after a paediatrician in brisbane that treats reflux. My Sil has a 9week old boy and has just been diagnosed. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

The paediatrician we've been seeing is fantastic. His name is Dr Aaron Easterbrook. He works out of the Mater Private Clinic in South Brisbane. Our baby has been treated for reflux by him.

She has a cow's milk intolerance and is now on prescription formula. But it has taken awhile to get to that stage. They can't prescribe the formula until they have tried other things for the reflux first eg medication like Losec. It is because of the expense of the prescription formula. Having said that it only took two visits with a couple of months in between (she got better for a bit) The first visit we got the Losec script and lots of advice and help about how to manage it. When reflux got worse we went back and got the prescription for Alfare. If this doesn't work, another visit for a fully synthetic formula, Neocate.

He's really thorough and knows what he's talking about. He's a younger guy and said that he has a boy with a cow's milk allergy so you get the impression he is sympathetic and understands where you are coming from.

Like all specialists he's hard to get into though! So get onto asap. Good luck

Dr Levitt @ Northwest private specialises in Reflux, or so I have heard

DS see Dr Geoff Withers who is a pead gastro at the RCH for his reflux, and he has been nothing but amazing for us, a real god send.
