View Full Version : Ovulation: Twice in the one cycle.
It is believed that a women can ovulate twice in her cycle. It supposedly happens when the sun and moon are at the same degrees apart as when they were at your birth. So it would happen (for example) every full moon for someone, as well as there 14day-after/before-period ovulation.

Thought it may help with conception..and also contraception.
That's amazing, I have never heard of it explained like that before. No more bubs for me though, I think easier contraception will be to get DH a little snip. ;)

I honestly believe this is how our Hamish was conceived because as far as I knew I had ovulated well over a week before he was conceived. We had managed to use observation and barrier protection successfully for five years and suddenly Voila-here comes a baby. Totally over the moon now we have him-I'm completely and utterly besotted with him!

thats very interesting thankyou!! do you know how to find out when your birth moon is?
do you know how to find out when your birth moon is?
I found mine on a website somewhere, it would be nice to know how to work it out tho. I'm sure you will be able to figure it out since I did, I'm not exactly sure about mine tho, because I'm on the cusp for both. But it looks like it for me that my natal luna phase is the full moon or just afterwards..
This happened to us. We did an ovulation test to fall pregnant, but turns out from the ultrasound dates, we were about 2weeks pregnant before the ovulation test showed up positive (I've always had very unreliable periods, sometimes even 2-3 months apart).
The doctor then told me that some women sometimes ovulate at the end of a period as well as at the normal point in the cycle. And she also told me that sex can occasionally trigger ovulation as well.
Now, they didn't tell us THAT in high school sex ed!!

I believe that is what happened to me with Raleigh. When I had the first blood test my Dr mentioned it was possible as the result for hCG was rather low and he thought it may have been a chemical pregnancy.
