Knotty hair

Hi
My 2 year old daughter has very long hair (it is just past her boobs) and it is always knotty. She wont let me brush it and when I do she just screams. The only time it is not knotty is when I put conditioner in it and comb out the knots, but she still screams. I've tried the J&J kids shampoo with detangler and it will get out the tiny knots, but not the big ones.
Has anyone got any ideas?

my daughter was the same, she had hair down to her butt I use to conditioner in the bath and brush it out in the bath while she was blowing bubbles etc and then put it up.

When she was a little older I would braid her hair in little braids and she liked this as we only had to brush her hair every couple of weeks.

Now she is older she has short hair (up to her shoulders) and is brushing it all the time - go figure!!

Just Cuts have a leave in conditioner, all I did was mix it up with water about 1/2 1/2 in a spay bottle & spray in in when Im brushing it & putting it up as her hair is also long. I have found it really good the the knots seem to just fall out. :)

hi girls, J&J also have a leave in conditioner, can be used on wet or dry hair and its strawberry flavoured - might make it more appealing to little girls. I have trouble just washing my nearly-3 yr old's hair, let alone brushing it :D

my daughters hair int long enough to brush as shes only 9 months old but i learnt well from my mum when i was a kid as did ballet my hair always had to be nice and i hated having my hair brushed but if i screamed my mum would just keep brushing i soon learnt that i might aswell just let her brush it as it always took longer if i screamed
